my zerker is currently 63 and has gotten his shard, spoken with keras and am camping the bloods etc now... so you can work on the quest pre 65.


EDIT** my zerker is now 64 and has done everything in the quest except the ASP fight. I'm unsure, but I believe you can finish the quest pre 65, you just can't weild it till 65 due to the required level.

alright to that guy sylifen who obviously has never even touched the class, or maybe he's just dreaming, i have and played a zerker from 1 to 65, hey maybe thats it he's ebayed, well anyways, with mediocre gear which any lvl 35 or above could get my zerk was a Main tank from lvl 20 to thats right 65, the gear he has because of my poorness is the expert's don armor, w/ crappy augs from the ldon experiences, these zerks do extremely well with whatever hell crap they wear, great dps, can swap dps for tanking ability by using stuns instead of dmg discs for whatever role you have in the grp unless u have insane stamina regen, the zerk class is extremely playable, can solo, yes solo mobs as well as long as u dont mind a bit of downtime in between mobs, i luv my zerk his gear sux but to the class it doesnt really matter all to much all i can say is yes they can tank if need be, no they dont have taunt but it doesnt freakin matter cause u can get agro very easily w/ stuns / snares or pure dps i guess (wars i grp with complain cause i steal agro with jes dps) http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=1237338 ther's his crap, and my two cents

Actually think about how that's possible. Say there are many guilds out there that are doing Tacvi that don't have ANY berserker mains. Someone has a friend in such a guild and that friend convinces the raid leader or whatever to let the berserker come along when they are going to be doing the particular named in Tacvi that can drop that axe. And because it breaks all our hearts to see gear like that rot, it may not have taken a lot of convincing. Tacvi isn't a percentage gimp-in, it's just a take your turn gimp-in. And thus a non-raider who has friends gets a good item off a raid.

Now is it really all that LMAO? No, it's kinda cool that ppl hooked him up like that.

Alternately, it could be someone's alt, that they brought in to loot the weapon instead of letting it rot. I know my guild llows alts to go in on rot items.

Or, he might have apped a raid guild, gone on one raid, won the weapon, then quit. Its not like there would be many people bidding on a zerker only axe.

Or, he may be on one of the servers that have guilds that sell loot rights to their rot gear. There were some posts on the SOE boards, complainign about people buying loot rights to anguish and tacvi gear.

How can people compare this to the SK/Pal weapon? Put a Dagger in the hands of a warrior (or better yet, a wizard) and Parse him. Now put that same dagger in the hands of a rogue standing behind a mob. They use the same tool in different ways. Same with Zerks and knights and 2 handers.

Secondly, yes, there are some nice weapons, some bought form DoN or dropped in MPG trials whatever. Odd, they dont have +5 Frenzy damage, nor do they knock 4 minutes off a DPS disc, nor have it's own clickie (thus END free) DPS disc on a 6 minute timer, nor can it compare with the STATS (and nor can the others help you get your 2.0 if you are in an Anguish guild, a 90/30 weapon if you are interested...)!

There's more to the picture than just the dam/delay ratio. This is one of the best weapons a Zerk can get outside of high end raiding.

Ok is it just me or do ppl in general not get the point of an epic ... 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0 the fact is IMHO that geting your epic any of them gives you a good feeling ... stop ******** about if its still good or great or if theres better and look at just doing it and trust me first time I saw the zerker epic 1.0 I was impressed with the look and the fact the guy did it ... saw the 1.5 on an ogre and I fliped on the size of it that was just on the looks and I think all the 1.5/2.0s look amazing and I say a big Gratz to anybody that compleated them ... now on stats IMHO ... there is better in most cases ... but if you want better you have to be pretty high end ... I myself have been playing for around 6 years now and I still don't raid hardly at all ... the 1.5 for me is a god send considering if your in a desent guild you can get them and there pretty much better then anything else you will get for along time ... I play a monk main still only at lvl 65 with 130 something aa's and yes I'm time flaged but I have never really raided to get there was pickup raids with guilds I have friends in that just asked me along ... so frankly I personly will not get much better then the 1.5 for along time other then the nice 2hb I want out of DoN 58dmg 36del with a nice proc and 2 aug slots for 2 more procs ... I also have a 55 zerker and was looking over the 1.5 quest ... can anybody tell me ... is it really as easy as it looks??? from what I have read there is only one fight the one in seb ... I find that hard to belive but I'm lacking sleep so prolly miss read something somewhere or just missed it. If you can let me know would be great.

P.S. just before you rant about my bad spelling or horrable gramer ... yes I am dyslexia toped with learning disablites so don't bother I already know. thx thats my 2cp and my question thx.

My 46 Zerker Soloed, Well duoed if you count the merc cleric, all but the imp in PoFear. My 83 Mage soloed all of them PoFear mobs easily. A 46 Berserker can get and wield the 1.0.

The point of anyweapon is to be functional.
If i can get a don weap thats better then my epic i am not going to go trough that kind of trouble.
So you quest for all sorts of crap just cause it gives you a good feeling? or that you can look pimp?
Questing only gives me a good feeling when the reward is nice.
Or els i would be spending my time hunting rodents for there whiskers.
Look i have my epic 1.5 /flex now i am uber.

Hm...tbh i realy dont care that our epic is less then the sk/pallys.
But i DO care that i rather wield a don weapon then my epic 1.5

with don:
61 dmg 39 delay.

my epic:

50 dmg 30 delay.

Common...thats pathetic dmg for a epic 1.5.
Give it 5 to 8 more damage and all ok.

wow in responce to this guy... he would rather wield a 61dmg 39 delay weapon oposed to a 50 dmg 30 delay weapon... do a little math the 50 dmg 30 delay is a better ratio brother...

Berserkers are in no way intended for playing, they were designed with one thing in mind. To sell GoD, The class has is about the same DPS as a warrior, with no aa's, with aa's they are still close within 10-15 DPS with the same weaps.. They have no raid Utility, Barly any group utility, and unless you are top equipped, you dont get groups. There are many guilds who will not take a berserker into their guild, and for good reason, they offer 1/2 of what a rogue does, and nothing useful, besides warrior DPS.. so why take a zerker, over a rogue, or a warrior.. They class needs to be fixed, and wont get done with only 3-4 zerkers being played per server as a main. /rant off

best DPS in the game is a stretch, but monks/rogues/berserkers are the best melee DPS. That's in no particular order since it's really dependent on who is playing and under what conditions.

first the lack from what i have seen most guilds want a person with a zerker for a main cause theres so few of them. also they have much higher dps than a warrior- it can be almost as much as a rogues. the main thing they lack in the end game is just ac due to the fact that all the plateclass gear is high end ac, but zerkers use chain which is intended for not being hit as much.

also except for the part about needing to be kt flagged for parts of it, this is the easiest 1.5 epic to date

You could get me started on things that you would never understand. But reading your post I can tell you honestly no nothing about how to play a berserker and what we are actually capable of. You are right it does take a higher end berserker to make a difference but if you were trying to hit a bullseye on the rest of your post you would be as far off target as in China while the target would be on your own computer screen. I hope that you are done ranting. Maybe you should invest more time in learning about what you are typing about before you scare off the future hopefuls and all.

The reason of my post is to hopefully get someone from sony to someday notice the problems of the class and fix them. As stated by devs, Berserkers are a pure DPS class, they dont see zerks tanking, they dont see them stunning mobs when they target a caster/cleric to get that 4 secs of freedom, they dont understand that a zerker, at level 65 or under with no aa's is in no way working as intended. I like the zerker class, and want to see them fixed, took them 9 months to give them aa's(they were put out with OOW), There is about 3-4 berserker mains on each server (give or take a few) and unless you have 10k + hps, you have hell of a time getting a group, or getting into a raiding guild. Zerks are a fun class.. but untill they get a player base, dont expect to see them fixed.

I have a zerker main and had NO trouble getting into a raiding guild. I parse up there with the monks, and at lvl 62, wich average gear, I was tanking in BoT and now @ 65 with slightly better gear I can tank anywhere in WoS except assassin camp. So listen. Zerkers are a crazy good class; you're right, though. SoE DOES need to fix some things about us, but as it is, I'm content with my capabilities at lvl 65 with 16 AAs.

and that is happening everywhere. i had a 66 monk as my main and then i watched as a zerk just slaughtered mobs in WoS. i knew that i had had enough of "living thru the pull," it was time to grab an axe and start the massacre. zerks are owning all atm. i havent seen the 1.5 in action, but the reduction in rage timer alone is worth the effort. anyone who has played the class knows that the same blade in a zerks hands is much deadlier than in a knights. that being said, you can't expect a zerk to get the same insane ratio on a 1.5 as a knight. THAT would be unfair.

Actually, the ratio is weak compared to the Paladin/SK epic 1.5 ratios. I'd think the berserker ratio would be at least equal and probably a little better. Can't imagine why they'd give knights a greatly better ratio. Mabye to compensate for lower skill caps? (225 compared to 252?).

The reason is knight hit tables are also significantly lower.

So you put the same weapon in a zerk's hands and he's going to hit much more often. Even with the same skills.

And paladins' triple attack is a very very low skill level.

Berserkers get Triple attack, like monk, rogues and warriors.
Hence the smaller ratio.

The ratio on the Epic 2.0 is gonna scale up, and with it, the dmg.

Remember, the dmg on 1.5 is suppose to be comesurate with Time level gear.

Bonecleaver is a weapon that drops in MPG raid trial, and that is alot closer to what the berserker 2.0 would be.

If the berserker 1.5 had dmg like the pally/sk 1/5, then the 2.0 would have to have dmg on the order of 150/40, which isn't gonna happen in OOW.

Thats why.

Pally./sk don't get triple attack. they have pretty sucky damage, being a snap aggro tank and all. Course the shear ration of thier 1.5 makes em alot better at damage.

If ya noticed, the pally/sk 2.0 went only to 96dmg (up from around 74).

Don't have the exact stats atm though on pally/sk 1/5 epics.

fyi with AA berzerkers get more hits then triple attack they get flurry and raging furry (may not be exact name) that grant them as much as 8 more hits and raging furry grants a higher chance of it happening i beleave it was like 1/100 when maxed out could be wrong plus the hundred other things that add to dps and their +4 attack on the stun timer that stacks with frenzy is a boone as well i have been parsed above the 3 rouges in my guild on every raid we have attended and one is better equiped then i am (i am not putting punctuation in very tired atm) sorry about rant lol tired just finished tipt and got my 4 ferns 8)

Look at the effects on it. Granted the axe has a sub par ratio but thats prolly cause with those effects your % to hit is insane. Those are base to hit mod's not attack boost's. Makes a HUGE diff.
And honostly even at that the ratio isnt to bad. It's Phase three time + really.

ZERK = 45.3

I'm not saying whether SK/PAL should be lowered, or zerk should be raised, but the zerk weapon should definitely be more DPS than both sk and pal.

Your right it is a sweet weapon, don't bash it because it's lower DPS then Pal or SK..yeah I would like to see that changed but crap we can out do Pal. and SK's easy with our other great abilities. Bloodpact, Desperation (which I love...don't I don't care who knows it) Blur of Axes.etc.etc.

Mid meleee means less dps than a rogue or monk, but higher than most other classes.

At the moment, monk dps is on par with alot of classes, but looks like Sony is putting in some weapons to raise our dps.

Atm. Rogues are the king of dps. Much better than any other class in the game.

(was looking at parses using weapons mostly from Time and Qvic).
Think those parces are at THE STEEL WARRIOR website, if my memory serves me correct.

-btw The Steel Warrior are some parcing ****'s. they parce everything.

well....necro is a good SOLO class even though their dps is nothing compaired to that of a ranger or berserker. My main is a 66 ranger, mostly gm geared, I carry a blade of the thrice bitten, a sword that drops off the maestro in fear, and swiftwind. My bow is a composite Laminent Compound Bow. I put out more dps than most rogues I group with up to 4 levels higher than me. I am however ranked #8 in class/level on my server. I also have a lvl 42 Berserker, who hosts a 1042 ac, 1840 ac unbuffed, all gear is quested or looted from kills by my berserker and group members of level cap range. I put out about 62% of the dps my ranger does and my ranger is highly twinked, boasting 7012 hp unbuffed, 6110 mana, 1630 ac. My point is this Rogues are good dps...NOWHERE near the best... But if you consider the effects of a berserker's combat discs when used correctly, along with a natural triple slash, up to quads on frenzy, and the only class you'll see get melee hits in the 250 range at lvl 35. I rank dps in game as such from 7 years raiding experience.

Honestly the Berserker 1.5 is probably the best in my honest opinion of all the 1.5's save for the Wizard's. I have seen it do amazing things in seemingly losing battles. Honestly SOE made the classes as balanced as possible as far as I have seen. Some stronger than others. You won't find a rogue who will beat a berserker in pvp if both are equally geared and skilled. Sure the rogue has his poisons and whatnot and a duel wield advantage, but the zerker's raw power and dps is far beyond them. But in the long run...NO class is better than the next....it's what YOU do with your class that makes them either outstanding...or terrible.

I'd have to say that list is off a bit.

IMO it's

1. Rogue
2. Necromancer
3. Berserker
(1, 2 and 3 often switch depending on the fight)
4. Monk
5. Beastlord
(Monk and BST also switch depending on the fight)
6. Ranger
7. Wizard
8. Magician
9. Warrior
10. Shadowknight
11. Paladin
12. Shaman
13. Enchanter
14. Druid
15. Cleric

Truthfully, I'm not sure why necromancer is below Paladin and Shadowknight, or any other class but berserker and rogues on your list. In the right fight, a good nec will parse almost or over 2k DPS.
