I camped the castle walls for a couple days and had zero luck. Then after talking to another druid, I went back to Velk's and got the heart in less than 3 hrs, after clearing room 8 times.
Velketor's Experiment (green to lvl 75) spawns in the room past Velk's room. (Velk's room is in the castle basement). Continue up the stairs past Velk's room and it dead ends into another room with 6 mobs (gargoyle's and golems). That's your camp. Bledrek and Bled also spawn in this room (out of 8 clearings, they spawned twice).
Mobs repop about every 20 mins.

I just spent four (yes 4) hours in Velketor's Labyrinth killing the crystal sentinels. Not a single experiment, failed or otherwise, popped in all that time. We cleared the area several times, and no luck. =( Guess we'll be going back pretty soon.
Also, this item has absolutely nothing to do with druid epic 1.5.

I looted one of these with my enchanter, not knowing it's for druid quest (there wasn't even a druid there at the time). Should I just destroy it? Or is this Mutliquestable or some other way of making use of it?

It is for druid epic 2.0. Did you happen to spawn the mobs or were they up when you found them?
I also got one of these off a failed experiement. Anyone have a clue what it's for?
