As a wizard, I plan on trying to get a pair of these. The focus effect is great for soloing, which I do for xp and pp, but the 30ac is awesome. That is more ac than my chest slot an definetly worth a ton for when the mob decides to resist root/snare and starts beating on me. These boots are great for everyone, and should not limited to any one class.
How is affliction efficiency useful to a wizard? You know its a 25% mana mitigation on DoTs, right? Otherwise fine...nice boots. Hope you get them.

He is probably referring to bonds, which is the wizard SNARE spell.
Just as an aside, since these are old posts, Affliction focus items no longer effect all duration-based spells. They now function ONLY with spells that do damage. However, if that spell also does something else, that's fine. For example, necro and SK snares are affected by Affliction items, since they include a duration-based damage component in addition to the snare.

yeah yeah my spelling sucks so dont bother flaming
anyways why the hell is there only two items in game with Affliction Efficiency 3 on them this which is a hard drop to get unless you are in a totally uber guild <which I am happy to say I am not I like my family orinated guild> and the other being droped only by gm or for sale for 35kp and no longer drops
I mean come on this is helpful to every necromancer out there that uses dots yet none of them can get this without a group of pure 56+'s on a goodsize raid?

Affliction efficiency also applies to slow, tash, mez and cripple type debuffs. Basically if it debuffs, it applies. Also decreases mana on dots 8)

There are 4 items listed however 1 doesnt drop anymore 2 are off ToV named dragons (this mob being the easiest of all 3 mobs taht drop AF3 items) and the amulet that drops off the last rhag in that cycle. and its crappy amulet also.
Affliction haste III was added to this item. This decreases the cast time of DoTs up to level 60.

Affliction Efficiency III doesnt decrease the cast time, it decreases the mana (25% to be exact) of most DoTs

The AC on these was changed to 30 AC, dropped on 3/22/02

maybe sound stupid but how many monks would use these over barbed dragon if awarded them
I'd probably use them, but would certainly tighten up my wt restriction and just make it a major pain to stay under wt. I wouldn't seek to loot them at 5 wt, double barbed boots...which are heavy enough. Most monks would pass probably.

These dropped last night along with the 25ac belt. The AC on these boots is now 30, not 20, which makes them a great addition for anybody. 30ac +stat bonuses AND saves...that is just amazing.

Boots that actually give good AC + INT + Cha + Agi and even resists. Makes for a great enchanter item.

On my ogre shaman they look like like the same armour pattern as his crystal chitin gaunts. Kinda like sandals, actually.

So, we have a necklace of Superiority, a Ring of Superiority, and now Boots of Superiority.
I bet we'll eventually see a whole suit of this Superiority stuff that will just about get the average player to max stats.

Actually anonymous poster, last one I believe (danget I havta log in ***** it) Im lvl 53cleric from Tribunal...The Eligrants have been to ToV alot, they didnt steal it from FoH's msg board, FoH just didnt post it and Eligrants did. EV has been doin ToV alot and are postin majority if not all items that they get...Oh btw my name is Cecel from The Comps...hope I didnt post this twice.
