having the pally epic as a 1hs would be awful. You get higher average dps, lower ripostes, and massive slay undead crits with a 2h. Shield block is great and all, but I'll go with a 2h any day of the week.

Ahh yeah but having the OPTION is what would be nice. If I am main tanking I will be using a shield and 1hander. Which means the epic will get bagged, With the option of either 1 or 2hands then I could switch it to 1hand for Main tanking and still get all of the benefits (yes a damage reduction would be in order). Yeah you will get less riposts with a 2 hander but as it is I only use a 2 hander when I am offtank, and when that happens I am on the side of the mob so I am not taking riposts anyway the MT is.

I would have really prefered something like a Epic 1hander and shield that can be turned into a 2handsword like the old warrior epic.
