did they nerf the rune drops..seems weird that you can kill 10+ names in WOS and not 1 rune drops. went to NC a lower lvl zone and killed Ridge Runner Drunt 5 times and had the same result. Also went to DH and did the Fire Pit expo and killed the names in there about 4 times each with no luck. anyone have any ideas?
Just got my spell, "Displace Summoned. What are the folks at SoE thinking of. A 66 Ranger spell that will never get used. No upgrade for AGI or STR even Skin nothing useful but a spell to do damage to summoned and like my other spells for summoned beings They never get loaded. What a Joke! When are they going to wake up.. Bet they have more thorns somewhere that we can't use alos because they get over written by a SoT or Mask of the Stalker. Give Rangers some spells to actually use
Please use /feedback for gripes. I feel your pain, but lets leave it in the game and use the boards for ... helpful info! As for the spell, I use DD on summoned type spells whenever I find myself around summond mobs (elementals in sol a ect.) They do lots of damage and use alot less mana, IMO thats a good thing. Learn to be more flexable with your spell book, something tells me they made that spell because they saw a use for it. I don't think SOE planned on making you angry and decided to make a "useless" spell.
Muramite rune farming- yep it's a graind, like you knew it would be. Here's how I've had some success. Go to Dranik's and walk the North wall to Grand Historian Whatshisname. Get an expidition: Murkgliders Hive. Take this one because it has two Named's (with phs, of course) and farm the heck out of it. One ph is a Hideous Rat, and his Named is "Who cares, just kill it". A bit further down the maze is another ph, Tatterwinged Bat, and his Named is a Frenetic Cavebat, or something. Kill the place holders, and bounce back and forth between the two spawn points. If you clear the maze between, the exp is reasonable.
You can just ITU down to the spawns, and spend a day hoping for Nameds. At least it's not a silly race with other groups, since its an instanced zone.
Bring along a six pack of coke, the phone number of your favorite pizza delivery, and unplug the phone, because you're going to be there a while. But the drops are frequent and the pace is pleasurable. A friendly group makes for a pleasant afternoon.
we killed 24 PH's last night and only saw 2 named, 1 dropped a lesser rune and the monk/bst 2hb and the other dropped the war totem. going to go back next day off and hope we just had bad luck this time lol. cant remember stats on 2hb we gave to the monk.
I 4-boxed this tonight. In 3 hours got 3 named (one Scuttling Darkrat and two Frenetic Cavebat)
Each dropped an item and a rune, all three were minor runes.
Wasted too much time killing stuff at the beginning when I shouldn't have.
Some more advice to people doing this one. The bats and rats are not KOS. The murkgliders are KOS, but do not see through ITU. There is lots of space between murkgliders so just ITU at each rat/bat area and run through the next murkglider area.
Make your away down and keep going down until you come to the Hideous Rat, the PH for the Scuttling Darkrat. Kill it and then ITU to the bat room a little farther down.
The name above is incorrect. The PH for the Frenetic Cavebat is called a "Twittering Bat" and it is on the left side of the bat cave when you enter. There are about 8 bats in there with a fairly large agro range, but you can pull singles if you keep them controlled.
The named don't hit any harder than the others, but they do summon. With the warrior I use, level 70 with 500 AAs and about 13k hit points with druid (66) and cleric (70) buffs. The fourth for my 4-box group is a 70 enchanter.
Hope this helps more.

Just started over on Ragefire with a friend. Ragefire is a time locked progression server.
its much easier buying the droppable runes, and getting the rest in Riftseekers, that way you dont have to suffer the huge xp loss from the expeditions, aka waste of time
6 way camp in MPG is good place to hunt for the droppable spells as well as nodrop (as well as augs/gear), if its not taken.
This is bang on, spent day in there a friendly group. Had no idea what we were doing but wanted to explore OoW. I got a rune and was told it was for lvl 66 spells. Was 65 + 64pct and needed half an aa for extra slot. Left with my 9th spell slot and lvl 66 and turned in rune after we called it a day. Darn if I didn't pay attention to what the rune was exactly called, but I got my lvl 67 haste spell. Dropped off Frenetic Bat, he also dropped a nice monk/beastlord 2hb staff.
TY for your info, since rune prices in baz are a tad crazy, and this hopefully will allow others to farm and eventually bring prices down to earth so everyone that paid for OoW will actually be able to get some new spells.
One Question: Do you re-call the re-spawn time of PH and the reg. mob's?
Minor Muramite Rune is for level 66 spells and level 66 melee disciplines. Had several drop off of various names in Walls of Slaughter. Turn in to npc in Dranik who is on west wall from Priest of Discord zone in spot.
