Found only 1 nut in DS at -1642-692. Then went to NC and hit the jackpot! Just at entrance from DS found at the following locations on the pathway: -2054-46, -2006-51, -1942-65,-1895-77, -1874-89, -1834-114, -1806-128. Hope this saves you some time. :-)
Foraged one of these (and a fallen tree branch!) in Old Bloodfields today.
WoS is the best place to forage, south wall 1 or 2...

Best spot i've found was Zone in from WoS into NC

The best place I found to forage these was in Walls of Slaughter. I got 4 of them within 5 mins or so. I foraged in DS, Bloodfields and Nobles and didn't have much luck there. It took hours to get the first 4 in those zones.
I agree, these are very common forage in WoS... I got many of these back to back foraging.
First 4 forages in NC gave me 4 nuts.

this is true, the first 2 forages I had in this zone yielded me 3 golanda nuts (forage mastery AA). I foraged for about 30 minutes in DS to get 1.

I managed to get all 8 of mine in the pit just off of DS zone line in NC. It took me a few hours to get all 8, but I'd say 1/3 to 1/2 of my successful forages landed me a Golanda Nut.
94 forage skill after i finished getting these (about 10-15 skillups so far for my 1.5 forages, including the Fallen Tree Branch and the Sickly Maiden's Hair)
Now i'm just waiting until i'm a high enough level to start the quest :)

I know what these are for. They got tired of people foraging good stuff and selling it for a profit. These clutter up your bags and keep you from fulling up with nice stuff like morning dew and other useful crap... They are crazy like foxes. And just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean people are not out to get me.

Well so far it looks like they're foraged in Walls of Slaughter, Bloodlands, Ruined City of Dranik, Nobles Causeway, and I can add Draniks Scar. Heard a rumor that they're used in the Ranger epic 2.0 and possibly others, can anyone confirm?

These are needed to make Fiberous Rope which is used to make eight-loop lasso. The lasso is used to capture 8-legged creatures.
