This whip is the replacement for the barbed scale whip that no longer drops.

At the level you can obtain this your pet had better do more than 16 damage. And since there is no proc on this item you don't get that advantage either.
This should never be used on a pet. A rusty halberd would be better and when dual wield kicks in any primary/secondary weapons will do. And my! At lvl 1 you get summon dagger - costs 10 mana and will turn on dual wield until lvl 39 where your pet can dual wield without weapons.
Weapon damage is moot since the pet will damage based on it's lvl not the damage of it's weapon.

Green to a 51. Didn't drop. Very resistent to Ice Spells. Stick with Fire based or lightning based
