Shadows of LuclinI just got a blood to drop tonight, 15 May 2006.
I am a level 67 enchanter, and the charming was an absolute piece of cake. The things hit for so little that I could pull one and let it beat on me while I cast charm. They never even got through Arcane Rune before the charm landed. Charm always lasted very long (I always pulled with Tashan).
The battles take for freakin' ever because the mobs have such high health, but it is an absolute cakewalk. It just takes time.

Been here for hours looking for the blood, hopefully going for a 4th time today, killed a ton yesterday...

I got 2 bloods in 14 kills. One off a caller and the other off a guardian.
I don't know if I was lucky or if they upped the drop rate. In the same night, I got 2 poison frog tongues in 12 kills from the frogs in the center of the zone.
It sucks to have to do the quest twice (once for main and other for boxed alt), but at least these pieces weren't too bad.

147 Kills. The Fyr Jen's Blood does drop as of 10/19/04. Looks like a regular red vial of blood.

11th kill, dropped off of a fyr jen flame warder.
but after 3 days and 100+ frogs to get the tongue, and 2aa's worth of killing in the deep on the silverwing quest, I'm glad to finally get one easy.

This is a pretty ridiculous camp. 65 chanter with td 3 and all that good stuff using charmed pet still takes nearly 3+ minutes to kill one of them... They seem to have like 25k maybe a bit more hps and well they out right suck :P
I really wish you could just invis through the caves, find one thats glowing and call it a day... but so much for wishing

I camped this in the eastern cave in Umbral Plains where the fire types are. I pulled the 1st and 2nd chamber with Harmony from a druid. I was able to solo the first cave with my 65 Bst.
6 hours of camping.. and I finally was able to loot one. Came from "a fyr'jen guardian".
One thing to note: If they have the blood, they glow, similar to the shardwurms in Great Divide when they have Glowing Wurm Bile.

They nerfed (or simply removed) the glowing from the mobs with the blood.
