Specifically the item listed on this page; labeled Illegible Scroll and having the graphic where it's rolled up instead of a sheet like the other.
If the others are dropping in Everfrost I have yet to see them do so, but since the Defiant drops, all sort of loots are dropping in many zones. Expect the unexpected.

ID's as an "Oracle Scroll" and doesn't sell to vendors. It is a Lore item.

Upon giving Rathmana in SRo 30gp I received a "Rotted Illegible Scroll" It occupies the face slot and is an all class/large race item.
It is neither lore nor no drop.
Anybody know what this is for?

I found an Illegible Scroll in Kaesora, MAGIC LORE NO DROP, that looks like the "newspapers" you can buy in various cities.
I also found Research Notes 2 and 3; and a note that reads:
"I have found one more of the scrolls and have learned that the other three were en route to be rescribed in an ancient city called Torsis. When I find them I shall see that the final four are rejoined in my master's realm."
Any idea what quests require these items?

What remains of the ancient city of Torsis is now called the City of Mist. Research Notes part 1 can be found there, as well as 3 illegible scrolls. As I mentioned below, the illegible scroll in Kaesora, the 3 in CoM, plus 2 more in Mistmoore are used in an Iksar SK weapon quest.
The note quoted above seems to imply another use for the 4 scrolls in Kaesoar and CoM.

the pally lord in felwithe also gives random items for the scroll....ive gotten worthless just like torches and tattered leather armour and on one time a spell scroll

There is a gnome in Highpass who asks for Illegible scrolls. He's in the zone where the bank is, way upstairs behind the secret walls. Look for pictures on the wall, they usually secret walls there.
Also a guy in caster guild in Freeport wants them (near the water). But the one the highpass guy wants is different.

Found an illegible scroll dropped by the Dark Librarian in Mist More but this one is a No Drop. Anyone have a clue as to what this one is for?

The 2 illegible scrolls in Mistmoore, the one in Kaesora, plus the 3 in City of Mist, are for the Iksar Shadowknight "Lord of Pain's Kukri" quest.

there are three illegible scrolls in west commons. One is off kidean Gix, one on orc oracle, and on on orc apprentice. The orcs are for the same thing Gixes scroll ive heard is for a rogue mission but im not sure.-just posted this info for some illegible scroll data.
