The ******* sword is easy to get your hands on as it is available for purchase in virtually any city. The delay is only 0.2 more than the Minotaur Battle axe. I used one constantly up to level 15 and found myself consistently hitting for 16 or 17 damage. By level 14 or 15 you probably want to look for a magical weapon so you can fight elementals, ghouls, will-o-wisps, and other magic-only mobs.

I have a lvl 10 bard and this is a great weapon. Fast and extremly accurate, takes lots of damage off. I reccomend this to lower lvl bards. I was grouped with a warrior barbarian who was one lvl below me and I was out-tanking him with this weapon. At lvl 10 I hit 17-18 pts consistantly and quickly.
