learn to read spell effects....
# Sep 09 2004 at 3:39 AM Rating: Good
ok check it its very very very simple the effect is "Increase Attack Speed by 2% (L1) to 50% (L49)" if you dont understand what that means i'll explain IF this spell was on a item that didnt have a REQUIRED LVL to equip it THEN a lvl 1 char could click it and get 2% haste and a lvl 24-25 char would get about 25% haste and anyone lvl 49 or more would click it and get 50% haste thats becouse thats the way spells work there effectivenes comes from the lvl of the caster now for the durration that people seem confused about Duration: 3.0 mins @L1 to 15.0 mins @L50 that means just like before if a lvl one where to click a item with this effect it would last for 3 mins but if a lvl 50+ click'd it it would last for 15 mins and yet again if a lvl 24-25 click'd it it would last for 7mins 30 seconds... BUT sence there is only one item with this effect and odds are thats the way its gonna stay and if there is another added i doubt it will be useable by anyone under lvl 65 anyway the spell effect might as well be writen in stone as 50% haste for 15 mins couse thats the max and minimum anyone is ever gonna get when clicking this effect

Actually its not a reply. If it was a reply then your post would have 1 reply on it and his post would have been offset to show that it was a reply to your post.

Does this Lizardscale Plated Girdle effect stack with enchanter haste?

RE: 50% haste

Yes it does. Stacks with Enc/Shm haste spells.
RE: 50% haste
# Nov 10 2004 at 8:20 PM Rating: Default
It is pretty much not going to stack because if u have enc haste at this point in the game u will at least have 40% worn haste item even every caster and their mother will have 40% haste item so with enc haste only haste will help u out is overhaste to break the cap.

Quest Text:
[Tue Jun 01 22:36:00 2004] You say, 'Hail, Mudarik Aletipper'
[Tue Jun 01 22:36:01 2004] Mudarik Aletipper spits out a mouthful of brew. 'Blast ye, Dubs! For the love of Brell what possessed ye to sneak up on a dwarf when he's drinkin'? I thought ye were the [Cragbeast Queen] come to have me for a light snack.'
[Tue Jun 01 22:36:12 2004] You say, 'what cragbeast queen?'
[Tue Jun 01 22:36:12 2004] Mudarik Aletipper nods knowingly and leans in close. 'Listen to me carefully, Halfling. Keep a wide berth if ye value yer skin. She's got a jaw as wide as an ogre's backside and as strong as a steel trap. From what I gather from the natives, she made an appearance after the great explosion rocked this island. They say she crawled right out of the ocean if ye can believe that. Rumor has it that she's been sleepin' for ages and the blast woke her up. Now she roams the beaches at midnight. She's not angry so much as plain famished. We've been lookin' for bands of adventurers like yerself strong enough to take her down. If ye have the skills and ye manage to best the blasted lizard, come back and speak to me. There are [rewards] to be had for such bravery.'
[Tue Jun 01 22:36:38 2004] You say, 'What rewards?'
[Tue Jun 01 22:36:38 2004] Mudarik Aletipper smiles, 'That must be the Cragbeast Queen's Scales that ye've got. Mostly undamaged, too. Fine work, Halfling. Ye'll want to have a chat with the twin sisters Lienni and Larsaki here. The two of 'em are always babbling on about fancy things ye can make from cragbeast's scales.'
[Tue Jun 01 22:37:05 2004] You say, 'Hail, Lienni'
[Tue Jun 01 22:37:06 2004] Lienni gasps when she catches a glance at the scales you carry. 'Unbelievable! Those are authentic ancient cragbeast scales. You should speak to my twin sister Larsaki right away. She is nearly my equal in the craft, but her work is a little sturdier, with more bulk - perfect for someone like yourself.'
[Tue Jun 01 22:37:22 2004] You say, 'Hail, Larsaki'
[Tue Jun 01 22:37:22 2004] Larsaki yelps with surprise as she notices the bundle of scales you carry. 'How? Where did you acquire those ancient cragbeast scales? As long as I've lived in Taelosia I've never seen any so enormous. The beast must have been several centuries old!' She pauses a moment to regain her composure, 'It would be my honor to fashion those scales into something more practical for you. They are intact enough to create a scale plated belt. All I need are the remaining raw [materials].'
[Tue Jun 01 22:37:43 2004] You say, 'what materials?'
[Tue Jun 01 22:37:43 2004] Larsaki hands you a compact box. 'Splendid. This is what will be required of you, Dubs. Bring me the raw materials necessary to forge the belt. Combine them in this container and then return the box to me. The work will require three Polished Stonemite Scales, a pair of Untainted Spectral Essences, and the Cragbeast Queen's Scales.'

(she hands you Lasarki's Empty Box)

[Tue Jun 01 22:38:38 2004] You tell *******:2, 'Scales of the Cragbeast Queen Polished Stonemite Shell Polished Stonemite Shell Polished Stonemite Shell Untainted Spectral Essence Untainted Spectral Essence - about to combine'
[Tue Jun 01 22:39:02 2004] You have fashioned the items together to create something new!
[Tue Jun 01 22:39:07 2004] You tell *******:2, 'Larsaki's Box of Raw Materials'

(hand Larsaki's Box of Raw Materials back to Larsaki)

[Tue Jun 01 22:39:35 2004] Larsaki bows slightly and hands you a hefty belt. 'This is my finest work, Dubs. Wear it with pride and know that it was my distinct honor to assist you in this fashion.'
[Tue Jun 01 22:39:35 2004] You gain experience!!
[Tue Jun 01 22:40:42 2004] You begin casting Twitching Speed.
[Tue Jun 01 22:40:42 2004] Your Lizardscale Plated Girdle begins to glow.
[Tue Jun 01 22:40:45 2004] You feel your heart begin to race.

Well. I clicked Lucy, and checked with a guildmate. I don't know where you're getting your info, but Twitching Speed is 50% haste and lasts 15 minutes.
RE: Duration
# Jun 05 2004 at 12:47 AM Rating: Decent
The effect was changed. When it was first entered into the system it only last for 18 secs.. IE 3 ticks. But, after this belt was received by a few people and some people suggested that it was a worthless effect with such a minimal lenght.. it was changed to last 15 min.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 19 2004 at 9:52 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) is 5%, stacks with everything (i.e. overhaste, lets you go over the haste cap)
#REDACTED, Posted: May 19 2004 at 4:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) it is indeed 5% clickable overhaste, similar to the effect found on the quarm earring, the effect just hadnt been verified, so all they knew is it was some type of haste, it will be fixed when they get around to it, you can further deduce the fact that its 5% overhaste from the fact that another belt drops from the queen for casters that does 5% spell overhaste... so yea.
#REDACTED, Posted: May 20 2004 at 1:32 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Thanks guys, sounds right to me.

um, click on the link and it'll show you that its a triggered 50% haste that lasts for 3 ticks...

No, actually all haste type effects say exactly what this one says, with the exception of the duration listed in this case. If you look closer, it does not say 50% per say, it says from 2% to 50% ...

Usually the % shows up clearly in Magelo, anyone know?

The effect does exactly what it says since it is a spell.

1: Increase Attack Speed by 2% (L1) to 50% (L49)

So if you are level 49 or above, clicking the belt will haste you 50% for three ticks.
RE: twitching speed....? *twitch twitch*
# Jun 05 2004 at 5:13 PM Rating: Decent
Just to clear up the haste issue:

You cannot enter Kod`Taz (or zones beyond Kod`Taz, such as Uqua) unless you are flagged and you are L65. The quest requires 2 drops from Uqua (let alone crag queen's scales and the other bits).

The belt itself is required L65 to equip, and belt must be equipped in order to use the effect.

Yes, it's 50% haste. And yes, it lasts 15 minutes.

Sorry Overkongen, but I have to disagree. Have a look at the listing for the FBSS which is is known to have 21% haste. The description for the effect is the same but its generic to most of the haste items Alla has posted.

Pudu is right. When the haste is worn, it's capped at a certain level, which decides how much haste it has (level + one). But since this belt does not have a worn haste, but is a spell, the haste is decided on the level of the character.
RE: twitching speed....? *twitch twitch*
# Nov 14 2005 at 2:52 PM Rating: Default
The percentage was already decided when they put the level requirement on belt. There's only one item in game that can cast this effect. Have the level one sit outside the zone he can't enter to get this belt and argue what would happen if he could click it.
RE: twitching speed....? *twitch twitch*
# May 19 2004 at 1:21 PM Rating: Default
FBSS is a worn effect, this is a clicked effect, therefor it is according to the level of the clicker. A level 1 clicker would get 5% even though a level one couldnt wear this particular item, the point is moot. Anyone over level 49 who clicks an item with this effect gets 50%.

Most of your interpretations of the posted effect info are very logical, but I just don't think a lot of players recognize that all items with some version of haste pretty much say that exact same effect info or description, and any melee folk who slobber and drool over haste items from level 1 up, are aware of this by the time they sorted thru what % was on a FBSS and what percent was on those SCHW they wish they had. We wait until someone who knows exactly shares the info, or it is registered on magelo, which allways seems to get it right.

Moreover, looking at the items listed under this effect would lead one to believe all items in the list have the same haste? which we know is not true...

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=998 <--- look here. this effect, #998 seems to the generic 'haste' effect they add whenever an item has haste.
