These are also found in field of bone and are called charred bone shards. they spawn in the field and near ruins near field

Militia skeleton drop charred bone chips. They can be found in the Field of Bone in Kunark. They seem to spawn at night like most undead. They seem to be fairly low level 5-8.
"Charred Bone Chips" do not drop in Kunark. There are two different items that drop there that are very similar (and cause a lot of confusion).
"Charred Bone Shards" drop off the militia skeletons in the field of bone.
"Worn Charbone"s drop off of charbone (and possibly lesser and greater charbone) skeletons in various zones in Kunark.

The Chared bone shards that drop off the Militia Skeletons are used in the Iksar Warrior weapon quests.
