This is just now being added to this site? Back in the day this was a nice alternative to bronze armor. Slightly less AC but alot less weight. And of course the fact a chain class could get something with near bronze AC.
Doubt anybody now adays would even consider wearing this stuff now.

On a TLP server, or an emulated server that stops before all expansions are unlocked, then all of the old world stuff will still have a use, for a little while at least.
Oh, and if you're a plate class then it most likely means you will be tanking at some point and those 2 extra points of AC WILL matter regardless of how much more bronze weighs.
