I got mine along with MANY other casters just for the ID4. No more mage bracers for me!! Gave up 15 hp to wear it, but will make it up by being able to wear my usual bracer instead of a summoned Gallenite's on raids. It will do until I grab an ID4 focus elsewhere.

Hits for 1500, routinely nuked to death by the trillion wizards, necros, mages and chanters in the line up. Our guild got about 10 of them before we had kitted up every one without an ID4 item. We had a druid as back up healing just in case (thanks Kittaro) and various melees who agreed to hang around to tank him for the millisecond that he lived, lol. Seldom made it past 30 seconds of life, what with the accumulated firepower in the room.

He spawns about every 30 minutes, has a placeholder that is killable with a single blast, then he pops in the corner on the fire. Everyone simply let loose on him and he dropd the fables and the regular Ishva robe, which I am sure many alts are currently wearing.

Working on the principle that the only good gnoll is a dead gnoll, we routinely AEd and slaughtered the entire zone, and many people picked up the Collectors splitpaw Eye for their Firework stick too. Splitpaw has never seen as much action since the game began I would warrant.

if you got ythis for ID 4 .. you obviously missed the Flowing Thought 1 part of the robe......

I went in with a 65 mnk, 65 druid, 65 rogue and myself 65 necro. Mnk tanked while it cated, and rogue would get behind him, two assinates and fight was over, less then 30 secs.
Our time in Paw

A story about a 60 warrior, his 53 chanter girlfriend (named Pankki), and the Fabled Ishva Mal.

Regarding the time we got there I think it was perhaps 2:45am CST since we had just missed the last pop. And I'm sure I was there for 5 rounds (2 PH's and 3 Fableds). Spawns here are on a 28 minute timer and so 5 cycles would take us to the 5:15am time when I know I left Paw. I was up for almost another 30 minutes getting my treasure hunt cane and Know that the 5:40am spawn was a PH. So that means it took Pankki around 7 hours to get the cape.

It was rather interesting when we showed up. Since it's a pure int caster robe, only those who could use it seemed to be there. When we first joined, there was 12 people in the raid. Something along the lines of 4 necro's, 3 mages, 1 wizard and 2 enchanters (with Pankki being 1 of them). I was the only melee and there was 0 healers. I spotted a druid at one point who was there watching for a moment. I suspect someone camped his toon there to spot for himself or guild.

This was a pure pet & nuke fest. I only joined in once I was certain the pets had all the aggro. Since they were running a timer, they knew when to drag in an unsuspecting Tesch Mal to be slaughtered in the middle of the room for the necro's to WTD (wake the dead) for added dps. The first Fabled fight was a rather amazing show of pyrotechnics with all the DD and DoT effects going off. The Fabled Ishva probably only lasted about 60 seconds if that given the amazing DPS. I can't remember what happened with the pets if they lived or died. At this point, I somehow was given leadership of the raid, timing of mobs, calling out eta's, the waiting list, etc. Well, ok, maybe I just assumed leadership...

The 2nd Fabled Ishva went much the same except this time a lvl 65 warrior (complete with 2nd box twinked out cleric, and a 65 necro buddy) was there. This warrior was time equipped and sported over 2000 ac and over 10k HP. Well, some info on the Fabled Ishva first. He's only lvl 40ish (con lt blue at 60) but hits hard (+800) and has some sort of Harm Touch / Proc that hurts. He also rampages (or was it enrage) around 10%. Some of this info is already on Alla if you need it. Anyway, why I mention that now is that the 65 warrior with his huge AC only got hit twice and mitigated all the other hits. On this fight, I stepped in to early and was the target for about a second where I took about 3000 pts of dmg. I'm still not sure what actually happened but attack was turned off and I took a step back (and no, I didn't run like a scared dog) for a few moments. I reengaged when he was at 60%. Anyway, about a 90 second fight on this one and the warrior did a finishing blow for 32,008 pts of damage to kill him.

The 3rd Fabled Ishva went about the same as the 2nd except this time I waited till he was at 60% before hitting my attack button. It was the one Pankki mentions where the person who was in line to get it fell asleep. So the next in line got the robe and the group decided to bump the sleeper to the back of the line. A cold reality but everyone was there to just get it done. You snooze, you loose.

So things that I saw. Really, unless you have a higher tank, or a number of clerics on a CH rotation, a normal group is not going to do it. I have no idea if he slows or not since I didn't ask either of the chanters. I know Tash landed from the 57 chanter on one of the earlier fights. But the good news is it doesn't really matter. If you want to spend the time down there, I'm sure a similar grouping of people are still camped there. Just go get in line and start helping.

Pankki told me that at one point a group of 5 of them (1 necro, 3 chanters and a wiz) took down the mob. So if you show up and there is only 1 group there, don't sweat it. If they are all 60+ and there is at least 1 necro you should be able to tackle this mob. Don't forget to grab a mob to kill for the necro to WTD.

Also, if you are prone to LD's try and drag a buddy along who isn't. If you go LD, they can retain your spot in line for you. The two times Pankki went LD while I was there, it wasn't an issue. The 3rd time she went LD there was an issue at Sony or SBC since almost the whole grp went LD so they were all in the same boat and just picked up from where they left off.

Hope this helps.

This is generally the same for all the Fabled Mobs. The whole mobs are upgraded slightly, but the big upgrade is DEFINATLY in their Damage and ATK (so they can hit you as well as do damage.) A group consisiting of 1 Rogue can take out half of the fabled mobs because they retain their low level and the Rogue can just assasinate. Other than that... the best you can do is just bring alot of DPS casters and get the things killed before anyone even needs healing =)
Another tactic

Another way to take the Fabled Ishva Mal is to chain-stun him. Get enough high-level wizards, clerics, and paladins together, and just keep him standing there like a statue. This camp can be run by just casters this way, if you have a few mags and necros who can put a pet on him to placehold in the fight.

BTW, this robe is pretty swank on my 32 Wiz. I even landed a few spells myself (halfway resisted) once the 65 Enc Tashed the heck out of him. Now, I can only breathlessly await the Req Level nerf that will surely make it unwearable for me...

Didn't summon through 5 kills. Hitpoints are around 60k-ish. Very easy to tank if you have a chanter chain rune and a cleric patch healing.

Nice Drop
# Mar 18 2004 at 12:48 PM Rating: Decent
This is not a bad camp. Spawn time is 30 minutes and place holder spawn about 1/2 the time. Ishva hits for 1000+ and doesn't cast much that I have seen in the group we are in taking turns for the robe drop.

Very nice Robe!

Pos656
Neg428
Fabled spawn point is just to the north of that.

To get here, come through the double doors on the top level and drop down in the pit. Go to the water and swim down the hole at Pos677, neg70. Once through the tunnel come up and through the left door. He's in the back cubby in the room.

You should read up on disintigrate. In the event that it works on the mob, it also destroys the corpse, so there will be nothing left to loot a robe from...

Killed him having only a 65 earth pet as the tank. Also had a cleric 55 nec and me using epic mage pet. Earth pet didnt take much dmg.
Ishva "can" and does Harm touch
# Mar 17 2004 at 8:49 PM Rating: Decent
Ishva always has been able to HT, multiple times in fact, its rare but on occasion (spent many hours camping ishva, on serveral servers, several diferent characters) she will spawn as a mean multiple harm touching necro, first time it happened to me and my companion died quite fast as we were only a mid 40s enc and wizard tryin to kill her, she harm touched us...over..and over...and over...untill we both died because of it...to say the least, we didnt end up taking her down that night, every attempt, she would HT, untill we gave up, to my knowledge ishva and that 4 key holder SK in Najena are the only mobs ive ever come across that HT more than once, so...just be carful...if she happens to HT once...watch for more, especially when someone is less than 40% health

Problem there with your little problem, which btw is your problem, heh, SK's dont cast Shock of poison, or screaming terror either, but she does it while harm touching, i dont make the game, just state it as it is, everyone knows mobs dont follow class rules, if they did, you wouldn't have mobs casting Ice Comet, while melee'n for double 120s, it happens, or rogue npcs backstabing with thier finger(53 necro pet :p)
RE: Ishva
# Mar 18 2004 at 7:04 AM Rating: Default
problem here... necros dont HT, shadow knights do, so if shes HTing, then shes a shadow knight, plain and simple.

ive taken her out several times in the past, am looking forward to doing it while shes fabled, could really use that robe on my necro..=)
RE: Ishva
# Sep 17 2004 at 9:09 PM Rating: Decent
To Gioni, the mobs in EQ don't always follow certain classes for say. I have fought mobs that are part cleric and part chanter(mob who tashes and CH's). Basically sony decided to make the game much more challenging by making the npc's a combination of calsses to give them a chance against players.

I have confirmed that Ish does not in fact HT but procs a 1500 DD Lifetap effect. It is an uncommon proc but will usually proc on her seeming 'crit' for 1333. This adds up to some heavy damage.

BTW just got my Fabled Ish robe and its my only peice of fabled gear. Camping this item made the game fun again as I had a great group to camp with and I put the group together myself from scratch (there we two casters there when I went down there to camp it and I had to rcruit a bunch of 65s from a whole range of classes....it was an easy camp after that with everyone tanking and getting the robe for their alts). Thats the way the game is supposed to be played!

Actually he double hits for 1100-1500ish, AND Harm Touches for 1500 multiple times, in addition to what you mentioned.

He also drops the regular Ishva robe, a scroll of summon corpse, and a couple of other things.

His spawn time appears to be about 28 minutes. There is a weak placeholder that seems to pop about 25% of the time.

Good luck everyone! Got my robe last night after 3 raid wipes and 6 hours of camping. =)

[Tue Mar 16 20:31:39 2004] The Fabled Ishva Mal staggers.

I'm not sure if thats a ht message or a lifetap message. But I tried this guy once with just a warrior and druid and he casted it 3 times over 2 minutes then i decided to evac and wait for my friends that were already in the zone. On the second fight he only did it once, but this was because a group had tried to kill while we were running back down. When we got back down he was at 54% and 5 minutes later he was at 56% makeing his regen slow even without any aggro on him. Anywayz, it doesnt seem that he doesn't too often.

wow so full of sh*t

Fabled Ishva Mal:
Hits for 1333 max, double
Does not harm touch (never hate any tanking it, nor did my pet)
lvl 40ish (can be headshot and assassinated)
15-20khps
Enrages under 10% hps
Not snarable
Not rootable
Partially slowable (mitigates slow)

Easy kill for 2-3 lvl 65 since he spends most of his time casting stupid easily resisted spells, may even be soloable (failed twice to do it so far, but looks like other necros managed to solo the guy), just need to burn him before he starts meleeing, his low level makes him miss a lot on high level melees anyway

Does lifetap for 1500. I spent 12 hours camping him and I finally got my robe.
RE: drop
# Mar 19 2004 at 3:51 PM Rating: Default
Great information but you had a few incorrect numbers in there:

60Kish HP's
Can lifetap for 1500

60K hp's proven when I watched a rogue 32K assassinate him as soon as he spawned and it dropped him to about half health. Also (less reliable I know) watching his health drop on average 2 to 3% per IC (1200 to 1300 damage with Anger of E'ci focus on Ornate Scepter). If he had 15 to 20K hp's each IC would have dropped him around 7 to 10%.

Only saw lifetaps on the spawns that were dark blue to my 54 cleric -- so the lvl 40 and higher versions of him.

These are just my observations after camping him for 26 or 27 hours straight.
