Last Fabled event, I decided I wanted one of these for my little twinky Wizardess, figuring she'd grow into it.

I loaded up my main (ENC, was 70 at the time) and boxed my 67 DRU (he's still 67, heh); buffed up in Guild Hall, ported to North Karana, and trundled on down to South Karana for what (after reading these posts) appeared to be an easy fight.

I tracked the Fabled Ishva, got into range, fired off a Tash...and almost crapped myself when I almost immediately dropped to 50% health.

Now, I'm no gimp. I have over 1600 AC, full defensive AAs, and some pretty impressive (at least to ME, so there!) resists. From what the people posting here had to say, the Fabled Ishva should have been toast. Well, turned out that *I* was the toast...and the Ishva burned me pretty badly. I hadn't figured on fighting for my life, so I didn't even have Gate loaded, and the Druid was too puny to have the Evac AA yet.

Within 60 seconds, I was back at my Bind point in the Guild Lobby, blinking rapidly and asking myself, "What the **** happened?!" My boxed Druid was standing right next to me; as a bot, he didn't say anything...but the look in his eyes was accusation enough. We ported back down, got a rezz from a nice Cleric who was in-zone with a Mage buddy trying for Quillmane (Fabled or regular variety), and promptly recruited the other 6+ Lvl 70s in the zone to run over and promptly lay a proper beat-down on that wretched Gnoll.

In the end, no-one else present wanted the Fabled robe (Fabled and regular version dropped at the same time), so I grabbed my Wizardess and hustled her gimpy **** to go grab it. I snagged the regular one for Tribute, since no-one wanted that one, either. The deed done, I got the **** out of there before the friggin' thing spawned again...and haven't gone back since. lol

To make a long story short: The Fabled Ishva Mal is now Level 70, and commands respect. Come prepared, or find yourself plopping down 250pp+ for a corpse summon, and begging for a rezz, to boot.

He wasn't hard for me to solo last year. At the time, my cleric was tacvi/anguish geared and level 70. When you say you were well geared, exactly what kind of gear do you mean?

I would guess that this year, with level 75 as the cap, and casual gear approaching anguish quality, people will be soloing Fabled Ishva right and left.

Most well geared characters can solo this. I've done it several times on my cleric.

Warrior would actually be one of the more difficult, I would think, due to lack of heals.

Took all night to get him to spawn, saw him spawn several times on another night every 30 minutes or so. Just our luck he took all night, finally spawning just before quiting. 70 monk tanking, 63 Cleric and Shammy, 59 Ranger beating on his back. Even con to monk, Shammy got resists and finally partial slow landed. Debuffed Virtue and several other buffs, Cleric had her hands full casting long virtue spell and getting heal off right behind it,was kinda close call several times. Change order of buffs next time. Has a lot of hit points, took us a long time to beat him down. 40k sounds a little low, but not by much. I believe he went berserk or enraged for a bit when he dropped below 20 percent too. All in all, a very nice robe for my Mage and Enchanter. Mage got it for free other night when Quill hunters took him out. Saw him several times that night, Quill once, Coloth, and Grizzleknot. Our night to hunt them and only pop was robe at very end of night.

Now spawns in South Karana. If u track northwest and west of hermit house, you will see either him or his PH's up. His PH's are an Ishva Lteth Gnoll, and The Ishva Mal. Extremely Quick repop times so robes come easily now. But, however he does hit a lot harder than before and has a lot more HPs. I saw hits (doubles) for over 2100. Happy farming

we did him with one group and not knowing what was gonna drop, i wound up running my lvl 32 chanter out there to loot it, grp was 70 warrior 70 shammy a bard a cleric and 2 droods.

whats nice is that theres so many fabled mobs there arent bottlenecks like last time waiting for hours to get a drop, roam around zones and your bound to find one up.

Yes his spawn is in SK now that they revamped paw. He was on track for about two hours last night while we tried to get the Fabled Quillmane to spawn. I kept /gu hey Fabled Ishva Mal is STILL up! But I guess I'm in too lazy of a guild cause no one wanted to come out there =P. He was red to me at 55 and pathed SW to NE back and forth to close to paw entrance on NE side of paw.
he's pretty tough

conned even to lvl 70. Summons, max hit we saw was around 2.2k. First try wiped a 70 cleric, 70 rogue, 66 mage, 6 wiz, bard, and 57 necro. Made me mad enuff to ask for help, went after him with mid 60's 2.5 group raid and dusted him. My 57 necro now proudly wears this robe, and I thank all that helped me to obtain it.
Tougher then last year?

Well, it's EQ's 6th anniversary and the Fabled are back! I saw a level 70 Monk take on the Fabled Ishva Mal and he got beat pretty bad. I was so dumb to throw a slow on the Mob which was partially successful, so he can be slowed. But the Monk was beaten down so fast that he FD and then off course I was next. :)

I got hit for 1954! I was dead in seconds (level 66 BL with 6k hitpoints). Dunno if they beefed him up but it's a tough mob.

TBH..this mob is about the same as last year.

Last year I soloed him with my 65 warrior Time / KT geared for my wizard, had no probs. And just a lil while ago I tried him out again, this time lvl 70 with Qvic / DoN armor for my mage, and he dropped even easier

I couldnt find anywhere else to put this information, but it must be known...

Yesterday i was linked a robe that had +10 mana regen, +100 to all saves, +30 int, and other various stats...

THe name was "Red Robe ___" Something... I looked for it in alla and couldnt find anything like it.. I know the link wasnt fake because it was in game...

This is very interesting and i was shocked at what the stats were...

It is, or at least was possible to create false links in the game by manipulating some code or another.
It's also possible the robe you saw was a fake link, but considering some of the crazy things I've seen from the GoD expansion, it might be a real item. :P

To the person who said this mob isn't soloable. He was before they changed the con. I went with a group to get this robe for my mage. At the time he conned green.

Trueshot activated. One shot, BAM! Headshot 65600 dam, dead ishva. I laughed my *** off.

We did him a few more times. I gota non trueshot headshot in 32k dam, and he did not die! He had at least 40k HP.

Well, was fun while it lasted, and my mage is very happy with the robe lol

Seems to be taking "breaks" in spawning at about 12-24 hours intervals. I got this information from a guide, and was confirmed by my 22 hour camp of the **** thing.

Additionally, as a 65 enchanter tash+slow was not landing. (either by me or the other chanter who tried after died). I was able to land with a mage to help on the debuff though. Mitigates if slow lands.

Just got this on Brell 30 mins ago. Do not underestimate this mob in the least. He pops, then start calling in favors or other big guns. Slower absolutely needed even for the little bit it can be slowed. Pets class are a plus let them beat on him with a good strong tank. Necros as I am, definitely it is worth your time to get.

Ok, since this is a pure Int caster item, it is still possible to do with only int casters. I did it with 62 Necromancer, 61 necromancer, 65 enchanter, and me a 62 Mage. Since my air pet made tons of aggroe, i had it tank. when Fabled Ishva popped we sent pets in, enchanter slowed, and i chain healed my pet for the first few seconds till slow was working, then the mob barely touched my pet (their attack was raised some i believe in last patch, not sure) At about 30% i had to fully re heal my pet back to 100%, and then we finished the mob, most nukes landed easily. (again, unsure if changed in patch)So, don't be discouraged if you only see int casters at the camp, if you have 61+ mage for pet tank, and a high chanter to slow, with few extra peeps for dps, you can do this mob. Goodluck

I got one of these today on the nameless server. I got in 2nd in line way earli in the morning. I had 3PH pops exactly 30 minutes apart before the first fabled poped up and wanted to die. After fabled went down I had one more PH before another fabled appeared. I (54mage), 65 beast, 65 war, 65 cleric, 52 pally took him down fairly easy but it was a long fight. Mob had resisted me at least 50% of the time but a few spells did hit for max dammage. Beast slow was resisted once. Hope this helps.

Ok, I got my robe for my enchanter BEFORE the patch ... Fabled was popping almost every time (was only 2 ph's that popped), I was 8th in line, took maybe 5 hours or so. Last night, I helped a guildmember take him down. She'd camped him for 18 hours or so, was 1st (and only by that time) for the robe when we joined her. There were a total of 10 ph's Smiley: eek between the last pop of Fabled and her Fabled pop, 27 min timer as previously mentioned ... it was unbelievable Smiley: banghead!! He wasnt too hard for a group plus 2 of 4 65's & the rest high 50's to 60's, had a cleric, a druid, pally, necro, 2 wizards, warrior, and me (chanter). So, to the rest of you trying for him, make yourself at home there and be prepared for one LONG wait Smiley: lol ... the robe really is worth in tho, imo.

Took the mob down on Vaz server on 3/30 with 4 chars. 65 DRU, 62 ENC, 63 MNK who was 2 boxing a 65 WAR. Pretty tough fight, finished him off with OOM DRU and OOM ENC.

Mob spawn rate is indeed 29 or 30 mins wich makes for a boring time, but the reward is pretty sweet.

Good luck!

This mob is easly groupable best to use pets to tank.

Still spawns after patch on 3/30.

I got it on the 7th PH after the server came back up.

I only had me, a 62 chanter (botted by me) and a 65 cleric with me. The chanter did nothing but tash and slow (partially, and only twice before he was killed) We won the fight, with me at 900/4337 hp (mob hits for 1200) tanking it, cleric is OOM, and mob is at 3%. I critted a nuke for 3100, killing it (barely, it had at least 40,000 hp). pet was dead whe mob enraged at 9%.

an incredible fight, a very hard mob, and a awsome reward.

virtually mage/cleric took it down, with a small help from a partial slow from a 62 chanter.

Started camping this at 6am CST on Friday 26th. I was 5th in line. When i got there fabled was up. We took him down and then next 2 out of 4 were fabled as well.

So I'm thinking great - I've been here less than 2 hours and now I'm second in line. Well we then went through 10, yes 10, placeholders with no pop.

On the 11th (and 5 hours later) the Fabled popped.

We figured at this point we should have some better luck..... well the next 9 pops were PHs.

Finally, after 13 hours of camping (starting at 5th in line) - I got the drop. I know it dropped 2 more times that night but the spawn rate was seriously changed on this. Not sure if they were winding down the fabled mobs to not spawn anymore, but it was getting ridiculous.

Regardless, I'm now the proud new owner of one of these beauties.

I don't know what the deal is with all the worthless posts & lies, but here is the truth. The Fabled is 65 & hits for 1200. He is only partially slowable ,what ever that means.he has massive hp compairable to say... a krieger in BoT. These fabled seem to be for raids only. it's not a nice gift for everyone. It's just another hand out for the already uber. So if your guild won't help you or can't forget about it. P.S. one well rounded group of 65's should do fine just don't underestimate.

I believe that the change from FT1~5 to Mana regen is a good thing. From what I understand about FT items. Two FT1 items would not stack. But two +2 mana regen items will. If I am wrong then please correct me. But I don't think anyone will. I am not happy about the nerfs but this is one change that SOE got right.

Actually, that's not how I understand it to be. Flowing Thought is an effect. Period. If you gave a Flowing Thought III item to a level 1 character, they'd get 3 extra mana per turn, no matter how high the recommended level was. However, change the effect to Mana Regeneration +3 and you can change the recommended number to better reflect the actual benefit to the lower level.

It may not make much sense, but it is an important difference.

Here is a silly little question. The effect on the actual item says Improved Damage 4, and Mana Regen 1. The entry above implies that that is the same as FT1. If thats the case, why doesn't the robe just say it has ID4 and FT1? I guess I am being paranoid, but I'd hate to get this, put a FT augment on it and find that since Mana Regen 1 and FT 1 are not exactly the same thing, one cancels the other and I am still only gaining 1 mana per tick from the robe. Any thoughts?

Personally I am glad that these items got nerfed. Talk about rude? What about the level 20s that were being completely rude while we were camping this on Torv server? Demanding a spot on the list before they even get there, demanding ports from PoK, demanding sup camo and a guide to get there because they've never even been to Infected Paw, THEN asking for the list after every kill, and not even being a help since the mobs are conning DB to me at level 47. **** wizzies not even being able to land a spell...

Then we have our 65 warrior training the entire zone and the lowbies running over there and trying to grab the loot before anyone else, and dying to the constant gnolls inc....good times, that. Hey, rampage can only do so much hehe. Plus if you die to a SP gnoll in 2 hits, no cleric in the world is fast enough to save your bacon.

The recommended level nerf doesn't bother me, it was clear that it should have been there at the beginning, and anyone who didn't see it coming...anyways.
The Fabled Ishva now con's even to a level 65, instead of green, though he hasn't changed his stats, he is still as tough as nails. What no one has mentioned about the nerf's is his new spawn rate. Where pre-patch he spawned approximately 75% of the time, now the regular old Ishva Mal will sometimes spawn in his place. As #5 in the list after the patch I figured it would be a quick little farm to grab one before I went off to play elsewhere. Not so, 6 hours later and I was #3 in the list before I realized at that rate I was going to spend an entire day camping this fool, and gave up. Just a little warning, be prepared for a LONG camp now if you want this robe.

Both bracer and robe with recomended level of 50, *sigh* ya know just once wish they'd let people have some fun playing this damned game. Don't we pay enough to have some fun every now an' then??? ....Guess not.

they shouldn't have let your 17 mage in line for this, imo. There are tons of high level players who wait over 20 hours in this line, a 17 couldn't even land a spell to contribute. Be happy your mage has this at all for his older days rather than complain he won't get full stats out of it at 17, you obviously don't play it much anyway.

I agree. I didn't got for this item, but it's stats are about as good as Immortal's Bloodied Robe (possibly the best non-raid robe in the game). There's no way a level 17 character should walk around with this and get full use of it. In fact, i'll go so far as to say that they shouldn't let anyone under the mid 40's equip it.

Should have seen that one coming. Thats why I only got Fabled items for my mains and didnt waste time twinking out with any fabled. I DID however take some time to grab the skellie items for my melee alts since I was pretty sure with varied stats like those there would be no nerf in the near future. Heh once they see how many people have them they might tho.

Anyohow you have a level 65, whats the difference if they nerfed it or not?

The line up to get this item is longer than some of the trains that this zone is noted for :)

Aaelaa a Necro on Terris thule Started her Robe at 1:30am she was number 7 when she got there. The fabled Mob did spawn pretty much everytime so it went Kind of fast. He did hit hard but If the Pet class's could sick their pets ON him then start Doting the heck and DD the **** out of him, and stunning him, he would die pretty fast. Their were a couple of deaths at first but after the people got their robes Ironicaly enough The deaths stoped. At around 6:45am aaelaa finnally got her robe. Its a very nice robe for the FT and the ID 4 is very nice.

He does HIT HARD though!!!

I'd give my right get hold of this!

Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the firepower to take the mob down, nor the plat to pay someone to kill it and let me loot it. :(

Too bad the anniversary stuff will be over well before I'm prepared and able to go get one.

Why don't you just go to Splitpaw and get yourself on the list? I went there alone and the shear number of people there waiting in line are always there to help kill the thing when it spawns. You don't need a raid force and honestly, they won't want to wait the several hour long camp with you for you to get to the head of the line.
8 hours of waiting in line and helping kill the thing when it spawned for everyone before me yielded me a nice new robe. :)
There is always one more imbecile than you planned for.

the only fabled FT item, and clerics are left out in the cold on it. i sure wish they'd made it wearable by all casters... i mean i know it's a robe and all, but hey... it wouldn't hurt to let us slip into something a lil more comfortable than plate every once in a while! oh well...

i must say, this has got to be one of the longest camps ive ever been on.

i got to the room at around 11am PST... got put on the list, and started going to town. i sat at the camp a couple hours with my druid main, buffing, nuking, healing, etc etc. at first we had a pally tanking (chain stun rocks.. less healing on my part)... i got wacked a couple times for 1300+(ouch), but no deaths. well my wife was on the list as well for her mage, and i ended up having to go back to work. so she 2 boxed me. i was at the camp a good 3 hours before i had to go, but it happens. so my wife 2 boxes me, does a great job (i think shes a better druid than i am). i get back from work a few hours later, and holy crap, im only #4 on the list :(

around the time i got to #1, we had nothing but a ranger and a rogue tank.. and a whole lot of pets. they did a great job, rogue would assasinate, then we would send pets in and own the mob to nothing.

needless to say, agter 11+ hours of camping him, i have a very happy lvl 19 mage (well, 22 now). good luck to all that is going for one. now to get the fabled golden efreeti boots :)

Mine took a bit too, however not nearly that long. I was number 4 to get mine (no-one else really there. The first four got thiers fast, 2 poped in a row, 1 PH, 2 more popped! I was thinking Great! 1 ph to go, and bamn I'll have mine! "5" PH's later (28 min spawn) I finally got it. On a fun note though we had a ranger for a bit who got a kill shot on Fabled and that slapped it down to 50%hp that was pretty **** cool. Gives you an Idea of the HP tottal too =) Good luck on your drops, and may your PH's be few!

Can't you guys actually post any "useful" information? Instead of "i used 2 boxes, we used 4" and so on? Define a kill shot damage for those of us who don't know the ranger class....

#mezzio, Posted: Mar 21 2004 at 2:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) well, if you must know, we had 4 PoTime pallys chain stunning, and 3 PoTime tanks to take this monster of a mob down, along with a 5 cleric heal rot with 6 druids patch healing non stop. he was hitting for 10,000 +, casts a monster 500% snare and 5khp zone wide nuke.

Showed up at around 10:00 PM EST and got myself into the raid and onto the list to loot the fabled robe with my 55 wizard. At the time there were maybe 8 people ahead of me in line. A 65 rogue was our tank and we had no healer (other than multiple reverse lifetap healing necros hehe). Suppossedly there had been a painful run of 5 or 6 PH's right before i got there (can imagine that 3 and a half hours of getting no drops and watching the list get bigger and bigger would start to get old) but from the time i got there the Fabled spawned 6 times in a row before the next PH. Got to the point that i was second in line with a 65 wizard after me and an afk (asleep) mage ahead of me with a 57 shaman 53 necro team (also afk asleep) after the wizard when everyone else in the raid decided they had had enoughand left. Needless to say the 65 wizard and I were a bit unhappy about trying to duo an unrootable/unsnareable mob that hit for 1k+. Luckily enough someone 5boxing (yes i said 5 boxing -- 5 computers, 5 accounts, 1 person, CRAZY AS A LOON) got there and decided to allow us to loot the first two robes that dropped even though there was no way we could have help the camp ourselves. So I got my wizard a robe and the 65 wizard got her robe. We both decided to stick around and help (totally unnecessary) the 5 boxer get his 3 robes for alts and such. Over the 2 hours that took there were a few more additions to the list and we were set up to restart the raid camp of the fabled ishva after the 5 boxer left. Logged my 54 Cleric on and ran him to be the healer for the camp as well as moving my wife's 49 chanter to the area and camping her out (i suck at 2 boxing). Ended up with 6 or 7 assorted and various Int casters and my cleric healing the 56 mage air pet tank. Couple of hours passed and I got my wife's enchanter her robe (2nd drop for me). Had nothing bet pet tanks for a looong time -- ranging from 56 mage air pet to 65 mage air pet. Only problems we unded up with were when the Fabled Ishva would spawn dark blue to my 54 cleric -- those were the only ones that we noticed casting the HT / lifetap for a reported 1500 damage. Even 65 air pet goes down before a 54 cleric can get a heal off when it is doubled for 1300+ a hit and nuked for 1500 (4200ish damage instantly and splat /shivers). Ended up bringing my Wife's 40 mage to the camp between spawns while still providing support with my cleric. Off and on had a 65 warrior, 65 rogue, and assorted mage pets all tank for the raid. only had one death when the fabled (again dark blue to 54) doubled on the rogue tanking for two 1333 hits then lifetapped him for 1500 all in one round (ouch -- splat went the rogue) and we ended up chain summoning mage pets because they were getting killed faster than i could heal them. At around midnight EST finally got the robe drop for my wife's Mage and had to cut and run because I was having trouble focusing my eyes enough to watch the screen.

Total experience at this camp -- 26-27 hours straight -- 52-53 spawns -- around 30 Fabled Ishva Mals and 20 PH's -- 12-15 cups of coffee -- 200-300 trips to the bathroom(caused by the coffee) -- 3 robes looted by my or my wife's characters (no 2 were on the list at the same time and infact had at least 2 or 3 drops between looting one and getting another on the list) -- tons of friends made and memories created -- one 52 mage put on my ignore list.

This guy was pretty damned easy if you ask me. Only had 1 death in beginning (myself) cuz only had rogue and pets tanking. Otherwise he's easy. YES rogues can assassinate him but won't always kill him. I had one assassinate for 64k dmg which obviously killed him but more often than not I got the 32k assassinate which still plays the msg drops him about 50% ****** him off to no end but doesnt immediately kill him. Isnt too bad of an aggro in all respects. Warrior had no prob getting him off. Spawns dont seem so bad. We had 4 PHs in a row and now 4 Fableds in a row. Hits for 1333 max mostly casts which we used to our advantage and used stuns and he didnt do much throughout the battle. Got an assassinate off on almost every kill except the first.
