How rare of a drop is this?

I actually just happened across her, got killed. Had a guildmate help kill her, she dropped the boots. And then I promptly destroyed them because I accidentally had a bunch of crap loot around it after I was done selling. I know I'm an idiot, please at least answer the question when you feel the need to tell me that yourself.

This may be a bit old, but the boots drop every time the Fabled version of her pops.

Najena Key System:

There is a whole key system to the lair of Najena.

Long drawn out way ---
Various creatures and NPC's carry the keys to access other areas within the lair. I will use the keys to describe how to move through the zone.
The ogre guards and Moosh carry a key ring, which will give you access to the prison cells.
The first monster in the key sequence is Bonecracker.
Bonecracker is an approximately level 25 undead froglok who lives in a room with two lovely dark elf necromancers.
He gives you the dull bone key.
The ogre captain must then be killed to get the shiny metal key.
These first two keys are the only keys that aren't No Rent (i.e. they won't disappear when you log) so hang onto them.
The shiny metal key is then used to open the cell outside of Rathyl's room.
The dull bone key is then used to access Rathyl's area, where you can fight Rathyl. Note you need both keys to get to Rathyl.
Killing him will give you access to the bloodstained key for Drelzna's room.
Then you can access Drelzna's room, who is slightly higher level, and used to spawn the Journeyman Boots.
Now you can get the golden crescent key from Drelzna will allow you to access the room with Najena herself.

OR:

Easy as pie way --
You can just do what I do .. and drop down into the prison cells from the trap floor on level 1, shrink yourself with a gnomish shrinking device, and then shimmy through the bars to get to Rathyl .. and therefore get the key to get to Drelzna.... lol

These things are dropping like candy on Fennin. I've gone in twice to camp for alts and friends and in about 4-5 hours total time, I've gotten 13 pair of them. And best part is, there was never any wait, no one else was there camping them.

Solo'ed Drelzna today with my 70bl (no flags to speak of, 5.5k mana, 110aa's) East fight with my 68 warder, max hit was high 600's. Had no outside buffs. I used Perfection of Spirit but wasnt necessary. Have a very happy warrior :)
As for spawn rate I had 1 ph spawn and thats it.

I am on Tunare server and had to go on 3 different days to finally be able to get my chance at these boots, fighting for many hours in groups of various ranges. Her spawns were so unpredictable. Day one though I only had 5 people ahead of me after 4 hours I had to give up to come back another day, day 2 I had only 3 people ahead of me and was told she had been spawning fairly often, after 3 hours and her not spawning once while I was there I decided to try another day. Finally on day 3 though I had 11 people ahead of me, I decided to give it a try since I had about 14-16 hours to spare. I got mine this time within 7 hours, and stayed to help several others to get theirs. We had 3 60+ and several 45-55s and she wiped us out at least twice in the 7 hours, it varied each time we fought her sometimes she was easier and some times she wiped us out or nearly did, it depended on who she aggroed on the most and though we were throwing the same spells at her she changed who she was aggroing on each time. We died when she aggroed our clerics in group.

# Mar 18 2005 at 10:39 PM Rating: Default
Excellent your full of crap cause I was the second person on Tunare to get these boots, wich I got for monk and I can tell tell you right now she is not the same ole same ole!!!!! Im a level 70 shaman time geared and she was hitiing me in the 600s and last year she was so gimp that she wasnt up for more then 3 seconds upon spawn. Not sure why you would lie about it but it is certain that you have not paid her a vist this second time around.
RE: Much Harder
# Mar 22 2005 at 2:21 AM Rating: Decent
If you are only the second on Tunare Server to get this item then remind me not to group with any Tunare Server transplants!!

Just outfitted about 10 peeps with these boots--tho the run speed is only slightly higher than Run5.

As for me, I am only LDoN geared and some spare stuff and I can solo this little girl just fine. If you are "uber Time geared" and can't figure out how to kill her might I suggest you actually spend some time on developing your character and your "nowledge" of the game before you go cracking off like you know something.

I completly agree with Philoo.I was grouped with 5 others (49-55) and she wipped us all out.Went back again with 2 more (lvl 55 & 58) and we finally all got boots
RE: Much Harder
# Mar 21 2005 at 1:59 PM Rating: Default
I find it completely and utterly sad that first of all, Philoo, you didnt get my NAME right. The TOPIC of the string was "Excellent" thats not my name.

Secondly, I watched a level 70 solo this mob. If you cant handle it, thats your own sad misfortune. We took her down repeatedly this year (And yes, I do know the difference between THIS year and LAST year) with a group of 5, 62-65 okay geared people. Yes, she hits in the 600 range, but so does just about EVERY mob in MOST of the OOW and DON zones. Not to mention she's also slowable, where as a bunch of mobs these days are not. If your "uber" time geared self cant handle that, Im sorry for you.

IMO, by comparison to most of the other fabled mobs, Drelzna isnt squat. Last night in Lower Guk I was being hit for closer to 1000 hps of damage. Notice, thats IMO...in...my...OPINION...

The Fabled Drelzna cons Even to Lv 63 on Mith Marr server.

Lv 70 War here, crappy gears and I was able to solo her unbuffed but with the help of my disciplines. ( Have gotten about a dozen boots in 2 nights. )
I also saw my guild friends solo'ed her. Lv 64 shammy and Lv 69 BST respectively.
We aren't Time-geared.

The Fabled Drelzna must be a lot harder on Tunare server, Philoo.

P.S. I didn't try to get the boots last year so I have no idea how hard the old Fabled Drelzna was. I got the dozen pairs of boots on Mar 17 ( after the patch ) and 21, 2005.

First thing I did when I found out the fabled was back was go sit at this camp. Drelzna and her spiffy new shoes. I got them for my cleric and ench last year. Got them for my bard this year. (And yes, bards do need jboots....You try remembering to twist in selos while 50 mobs are beating the snot out of you).

She wasnt any harder than last year. Same ole, same ole. Got them for my bard and mage....mains for 5 guildies, and their alts. Would have gotten more, but....damn the cable modem!

I play a lvl 66 bard on CT and was about to say a bard does not need jboots till I saw what lvl your bard is .. and yes in the lower lvls jboot are very handy for the insta click sow. Now get lvl 55 with your bard (or a few teir 3 flags ) and grab a set of composer greaves ( ornate greave ) and that is 1 sec selo's. With thouse I can /melody all 4 dots and refresh selo's ( 2 min timer ) and not skip a beat :) grats on your fabled jboots and I plan to go get some for my wifes cleric.

# May 31 2004 at 9:41 AM Rating: Default
i know im a bit late on coming in to tell you all this but try to imagine camping these in pvp. this was THE most cutthroat expirience on talon id ever seen. you die you better get your *** a corspe summon. people who didnt even know you were there and slaughtered before them would cc you to ensure you didnt try to ks these things. and they were almost never free. was usually 5 people there about 24/7. needless to say i got mine =) was a difficult thing to do tho. but lucky monk me i got them at 35, very helpful for a poor monk. no more donates for sow and no worries about a lizzard ride. anyway just wanted to let you all think on that if you even ever read this. bluebies suck =P my first character was made pvp and i dont see it any other way.

I have a level 13 ranger on the FV server. Traded a regular drum for a pair of these and a small drum. I find it is far easier to engage in melee while not mounted, and these give the same effective movement rate. True, there is no mana regen bonus that you get while mounting - that is why I took the smaller drum as part of the trade. Down the road I'll get one of the run AA's, but for now and another 40 levels these will server my soloing ranger quite well.
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 21 2004 at 11:19 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You traded a no drop drum for a no drop pair of boots that don't drop at all anymore and another no drop drum?!

So, understanding a rule variation on a different server qualifies as critical thinking where you're from? Last I checked it makes allot more sense to just ask the question.

And the only thing it seems to change is making it easier.

Yup, glad I'm on the rathe...

Well, technically, the no drop flag DOES exist, its just limited to a very small group of items, like epics.

But, for these items, none of them are no drop on FV.

Are the fabled still popping? I camped there last night for at least 4 hours and not one fabled spawned. Killed PH's and regular Drelznas but that was it. If they are still there any ideas on how to get her to spawn? I heard a rumor about it not spawning if people have their pets up. Anybody know anything about this?

When I was in there, 2 casters had pets sitting in the middle of the room constantly, taking out everything that popped - I think it is just random. I have heard that the fabled will go up to 8 hours without spawning, then pop 4 times in a row...
I don't know what server you are on, but 7th Hammer was MESSED UP this past weekend. People getting stuck under boats and trees - the chat board was packed with issues, including Najena questions like yours...but no real support is available on the weekends.
It seems like they hire half the people to do twice the support job...just like the rest of the greedy corporate giants do...

When I got to Najena, only one 60 lvl was ahead of me, and he let his pet rip up the PHs and the fabled wench, and even stuck around just to be helpful. His fabled spawn popped, and 40 minutes later, the second fabled popped...best hour I ever spent! I am lvl 42, and she smacked me but good, so I was grateful for the hand! Serious undercon!
...now if they will just fix Gorge of King Xorbb/Beholder's Maze so I can get my monk quest item off that dang Alchemist :P
