a main gauche (historicly not in eq) is a defensive weapon used in the left hand while a rapier was used in the right very little attacking was done with the main gauche it was used to parry or in some cases disarm the rapier/main gauche combo was a favorite of duelists but these wepons were almost useless in battles because being so light they could not penetrate armor so they were used in duel between 2 people with no armor hope that clears some things up ok back to eq GREAT wep for the offhand and the ac it adds is hostorically accurate
This only goes in the secondary hand. Very nice dmg/delay and tends to go to bards when we go to VP since there are much better rogue weapons available in VP. The 15 AC is very nice indeed. I loved using this weapon but now have shelved in favor of Maelstrom dropped off of Druushk.
