Given the new items out in the past 4+ years, the new max dmg from this (from what i have seen) is 12,362. unlikely. almost impossible... insain considering the item needed to do that dmg is lvl 80, and the level 80 spell would be a better use.... but.... there is a 70%+ focus, 35%+ pet, plus double from crit.

9492 damage, actually.
as Turkishbull posted, its possible to get about 8140 for a crit, maybe a little higher about 8877 like he said, but most crits would be about 7100 or so without a bardo and what not
Whats the new max crit now? I would imagine slightly over 7k.
With that spell max crit comes to 7989 with the best focus40%/song25% around atm...8140 with the discordant 45% focus...but don't know of it being found as of yet....with the ancient spell the max crit should reach somewhere around 8877
Discordant Flame is on one Wizard usable item at the moment... Noqufiel's Wand of Infinite Enmity, I believe it is called... check Lucy. I don't believe Allahkazam has it yet. There is one other item, but it's Gaelin's Boots... and those are Druid only.
And no, Discordant Fire is NOT for DDs... it's for DoTs ^.^
