First, an answer to a 2004 post:



Perhaps in 2004 this item was usable by Berserkers, however the 2008 item collector entry lists it as NOT berserker usable. There are many examples in game of a class being able to equip an item they cannot raise skill in. Think of it as flavor/roleplay.

This item is a result of the quest named after it, but isn't the final reward of that quest. Final reward is SK only, and factions are tricky so look it up before attempting it.

While Arctura's submitted item window pic is not ancient, it isn't the most modern either. We could use a 2016 taken shot.

As well, a pic of someone wield this item would be helpful.

This is a weapon obtained by evil folks via a Quest from the SK and Necro Guild in Neriak - if your not a DE and a Necro or SK you CANNOT do this quest - if you don't believe me go to the 3rd gate in Neriak behind the Library and just try to get past the Ghoul Guards. Yes, anyone can help collect the parts, but only someone with decent faction with the most vile evil folks on Norath will be able to say the secret words to Gix - get the parts - combine and turn in the Thex Mallet to get the Reaper of the Dead - SK only Weapon - faction faction faction

Grrr, I'm a 37 half elf warrior and I give Gix the password and the tells me something along the lines of I should whoop your *** instead of giving me a note to give to lrodd... GRRR

This item is no longer Range equippable :(

it's used in a further quest for a decent 2hs
