]Back on topic lol, took 3 golden tickets .. Ruby BP, dark elf mask, beads, wonder how many more till drums.. Noticed Items are lore. Gonna guess he has to give it randomly or only a few more good tickets. Loyalty vender gave me three so far and are pretty reasonable considering its only time waiting and free currancy. Plus I lucked out got two to GT for 55 k on bertox thanks bud :-)
Has anyone lucked out on there first good ticket for GBDrums??

Speed aside, this drogmor is inferior to the comparable Seru/Ssra/AA horses.

When levitating on a horse you can look down and float forward/down.

On a drogmor, your direction of movement is always level so you have to WAIT until you levitate down slowly. There is no way to GO down, unless you click off the drogmor buff and walk.

I got the duel core Conero speed bug once and it was 5 times faster than any Selo's or AA pet Or Dropped Bridle.

Before I relogged to correct problem. I raced a multitude of supposed top speed Demons on our server. I got so far away from them, they quit when they could not see me at 100% cliplane, unfortuntly this also made spells last extemley short, so it's not a bug you like run around with. "no Pun intended"

The point is there is no HARDCAP on speed in game, I just proved less then a week ago.

Take Care,

There is a hardcap on runspeed.

What you witnessed is a known problem with muulti-core CPU technology. It is in fact your computer that has sped up and not the in-game mechanics. What happens is the sequence timer for the core that is running that instance of EQ becomes misaligned with "real-time" or "system time" and executes time on its own accord.

As you mentioned, your buffs or what have you will fade faster. This is true of all timed aspects in game (zoning, talking, hotkeys, in-game time commands </time>, et al.) It is that very instance of EQ that has a time problem that enables the illusion of no hardcap on runspeed.

It is a very common occurrence for all multi-core processors and replicate-able at will if you understand how to recreate it.

I don't have this drum, I don't have a bard, and I have never raced anyone anyway.

Therefore I am best qualified to speak on this subject.

But, since I am also an a$$, I am NOT GOING TO TELL YOU WHICH, WHAT, OR WHO IS FASTER!!!

used over 500k in casino. never won a gold ticket.
then a friend of mine use 50k,and win it !
(he sold it to me for 50k)
i had vibrating gauntles, mistwalker and rubi bp when turning it in,and Voila ; there it was ; the black drum )
after that i used 70k more and won another one .. got the DE mask.
in total used ;(roughly) ; 620k for 2 gold tickets.
still missing 3 of the tradable pricess. will buy it if i see it cheap, but im not done yet wasting pp there ) i want em all !! specially the pre-nerfed fungi staff
once i have em all i will sell any gold tickets i might win,and offer to lend ppl my tradable prices so there will be a 50/50 chance for the mount.
normal price for gold ticket on AB ; around 350k.
if you can offer to lend all the tradable prices you can easy get 500k for the ticket.

Ok, so I have the Ton Po staff, pre-nerf Fungi Staff, Vibrating Gauntlets / Hammer, Rubi. BP, and Mistwalker Scimitar. I'm trying to turn in the 2 Gold Tickets I have and get Holgresh Elder Beads and the DE mask -- is there anyway to guarantee this? There appears to be two possible Drums you can win as well, and neither are LORE -- so does this mean I could turn in 4 gold tickets and get 2 white and 2 black drums and no DE mask / Holgresh beads still? Anybody who has tried this please let me know...

It all depends on the kind of race you're doing. It's kinda generic to just say "we raced". If both people had no buffs, nothing summoned, no songs playing in the beginning it's a different story then if the song is playing in the beginning and the mount is already summoned. By the time the drogmor is summoned and they get up to speed the bard has already been running and his song will start at the same time the mount is summoned. It all depends on the distance of the race, yeah, it may be faster in the long haul, but it would take some time to chase down the bard. Running across WK, Drogmor probably would win, running from gypsy camp in NK to SK zoneline, my money would be on the Bard.

This is measured at the speed of SK/Pally steeds...

Thus, it is FASTER than Giant drum/Chain bridles

Actually I am 99% certain that the best bought drogmor / horse is +125% run speed. On multiple occasions I have used my Dreamwalk Discipline while following someone riding max horse / drogmor and it matched speed with them. This leads me to believe that the glowing drums / ornate bridles are probably close to if not the same speed as pally / sk AA horses.

lols the speed limit in game is not +156% and you people who even think there is one are moronic

if you look at the code for speed base runspeed is set to 00 01

max speed in reality is FF FF

any person who has ever hacked the game can tell you that

at what you believe to be speed limit bards will take 10+ minutes to go accross WK

GM speed spell alone is +400% or around 5 minutes

max speed in game is literaly .000001 seconds to cross WK AKA splat when they hit the wall on the other end

#Maester, Posted: Jul 17 2004 at 10:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Brilliant insight...no ...no really...I mean clearly the post above yours is a gm, or someone trying to hack in and give his lvl 1 warrior nitro....156% is the cap for players...we don't really care what a gm can do or what the range of hex is, the point is that we as players can only go as fast as the current top bard song. So next time you want to brag about how cool you are cause you "hacked" a game try it somewhere else.

I raced a 65 bard, I got there before he did. It's a fact. I didn't defame your class. I raced I won, and that was it.

You seriously need a life or seperate the game from your rl if you have one. From the endless boring details you go into, and the offense you took from my statement, which was neither derogotory or aimed at anybody (I won one yesterday and it's faster than selos.Much faster. raced a level 65 bard who was using selos) indicates you have some serious issues.

Selos envy? whatever

You may have won a race against a laggy bard with no aas or gear/drum. But i can tell you for a fact that there is Nothing faster in the game than a bard with aas and percussion mods decked out...keep telling your self all you want...Nothing can outrun a bard.

The bard mustve been pretty badly equipped, a bard with a good drum and the AA ability Fleet of Foot would easily outrun anyone.
RE: Direangel you need a life
# Apr 09 2004 at 10:01 AM Rating: Good
Just to let you know, most Bards hit the speed cap. So unless the bard got lost or was lagging, he would win due to the Drogmor's startup time.

But congrats on your win.

Lady, this be a poorly played bard then, cuz without even taking into account my AA mods, Selo's + BoT drum (which every bard has now that drop rare is common) is much faster then your stinky drum. First off you don't start at max speed like a bard, you have to accelerate your mount, my speed song doesn't eat my food...yes if the bard you raced had no drum or aa or epic or a drum mod weapon, (Honesty if my alts played with a bard that was like that at 65 I'd disband due to a lazy bard/ignorant bard is one of the fastest ways to kill a group off) then you would win as 65 selos' is 65% speed increase...but no respectable bard would forgo wearing atleast a basic drum when racing. Add in aa? Well let's just add 6% from instrument mastery aa then there's the new GoD aa's which cost 12 pts so I'm sure it's 4-6% more modification. Not to mention fleet of foot increases bard speed (although how much is still a constant debate on bard boards). Next time you try to defame class hallmark's do a little research. I don't go around bragging I can outdot a necro with my bard if I'm comparing my 65 bard with closing 150 aa's to a 65 nec with no aa's no foci who is using low level dots? Hell even with a normal lowbie hand drum 1.8 mod with 65 selos mod that's over 100% (65 x 1.8 =117)(I don't know Selo's speed cap so I'm not going to post final %) the fact that you have to accelerate from full stop means you will always eat a bards dust even a level 40 bard as long as they equip a drum.

First of all, you really should learn to spell and punctuate. You are clearly ignorant in every respect. Your arguments are inane and have nothing to do with the issue at hand. At least I think they are- it is difficult to understand whatever it is that you were trying to say. I have beaten anguish-geared bards while I was on this mount, so you are full of crap. The drog is faster- period.
RE: Not even close to correct

Ok, two things. First, wth does food have to do with speed? Second, in all of that rant about how fast your bard is, you don't give us ANY data on how fast the drum is. If YOU are going to deflame someone's claim (which is really nothing more than a simple statement), you really should have complete data. Even an equally simple statement such as, "I'm a bard and raced a (insert class) with this mount and I won," is a more effective argument than the one-sided crap you put down. Personally, I think I will believe the data posted on magecompendium.com, since they give data on BOTH.

Now, aside from what you've said, there ARE other factors that determine a character's speed. Take two characters with the same speed buffs and aa's, have them race across a flat, straight area and they should get there at the same time, right? Wrong! Computer speed and connection quality and speed both factor in. And I could be wrong, but I am 99% sure that agility factors into speed, too, not in a huge way, but I think it does.

Exactly. When you race with someone, take a second to think about what you are really racing.

You're not racing your drum vs. bard speed, you're racing your connection speed against theirs.

No, if you have no clue as to what you are posting on, don't bother posting. I have this, and it is same speed as Ornate white/black chain bridles from Emperor/Seru. Faster than giant drum, near selos speed.
