I just looted one of a sarnak enthusiast who was in some ruined house in FM. He was a level 36 and was using shaman spells pretty tough job with a level 36 druid but I got it in the end dropping this. Pretty nice claws for in off hand.

Velium or this
# Jul 22 2001 at 3:24 PM Rating: Decent
When my bard gets to lvl 17 and gets duel wield then should i use the sarnak eitchatka or should i use the celium battle axe ..... im new to this game and im not quite sure which will go better with my icetooth's claws .
RE: Velium or this
# Dec 17 2001 at 9:12 PM Rating: Default
he is right, they arnt great, but to have on 2 claws is something we see only 1 time a every couple of months, and its cool... to have only 1 claw, though, looks trashy especially when paired with an axe... but that is only my oppinion

If all you are after is looks, these things look fairly cool. But as far as functionality is concerned, you should go with your Velium Battle Axe. For a melee class that can dual wield, you should adopt the weapon with a high damage to delay ratio and as low a delay as you can afford. The reason why is that you will do more damage with the higher ratio weapons. For instance, you do more damage with a Wurmslayer than your starting rusty short sword. However, you would not necessarily want to start out with a Wurmslayer due to the high delay. You miss too often to merit that damaging of a weapon. Even at the mid levels, you will still miss the mob from time to time. 1 miss with a weapon with a low delay like 22 is much less costly in terms of damage dealt than 1 miss with a high delay like 38 or so.

If you want my suggestion (I have a level 37 bard for main), for those levels, try to get yourself a weapon in a discipline that you haven't practiced yet and put it in your offhand. If you can, try to keep all your weapons skills (1HB, 1HS, and piercing) maxed. If you are more versatile in the kinds of weapons you can wield, you will find it easier to find a decent weapon to wield at some of the higher levels.
What the heck?

Why on Earth do these things sell for 17pp more than the Sarnak Pitchatka if they are the same?

17pp doesn't seem like a big difference in avg price considering the differences in the high and low price for each would possibly be higher (haven't actually checked don't care that much really).

But I would say these should be worth more than the pitchatka, if the information given about them is correct. These are OFFHAND claws. Most of the claw type weapons in the game are primary only-Icetooths Claws, Kodiak Claws, Spined Dragon Claws, Sarnak Pitchatka, to name a few. Dual wielding claws looks pretty cool, so i can definitely see how these would be worth more than the Pitchatka

The Duo with the icetooth claws look grat, but this is a crappy hitter, better off with a Velium Battleaxe in your secoundary up to about level 30

Sarnak Eitchatka/Sarnak Pitchatka

I picked up a set of these on RZ in GFay for 50pp two days ago. I quickly gave the Primary Slot one to a newbie (And made his day) and donned my Icetooth claws (11/29 same visual Primary only).

I bought for just the look of having claws in both hands. Wolverine is my idol! Hehe. Looks sweet all the same.

I regret giving away the primary slot claws. I bet I could find another Wolverine fan(just not as smart as myself) that would pay 1k pp for the set. Oh, well.

I will be on here in about 5 more hours. Keep sending tells to Thunderwind (Warrior of the 43rd Season) or to Skydancer (Druid of the 24th Season)
I will meet you where ever you need and pay you for this weapon. To the last post, Yes it is more expensive because off hand claws are a rarity. Although easy to obtain.
Why the higher price?
# May 04 2001 at 1:38 PM Rating: Default
I see this is priced higher than the Pitchatka.
Is that because this is off hand only? And if so why would this make them more expensive?
Why pal and shd
# May 01 2001 at 2:16 PM Rating: Good
Why would this include paladins and shadowknights as we cannot use 2 weapons. we do nt get dual weild.
Good Trade

I traded a Silver-Plated Bracer for these claws and an AGI +3 ring.... Now I know I got a good trade )
Looks
# Jan 27 2001 at 10:40 PM Rating: Default
I just bought one of these for 128pp. It is a claw that looks just like a Sarnak Picthatka, Kodiak Claws, Thulian Claws, etc. It is a good offhand claw to complete the badger look)

# Mar 06 2001 at 2:32 PM Rating: Decent
I had this set of claws, and when I put them on someone called me trollverine, it was pretty funny but it just doesnt look right on a troll. I sold them to a barbarian and he looks pretty good with them. Another thing is they just dont do much damage for a level 20 character.

I got one from a Sarnak Adherent in Ill Omen (Sarnak Fort). Got offered 250pp for it, but I kept them. They look like other claws - Kodiak, Icetooth or whatever.
