Hi I have a 48 bst and want to loot abysmal seaweed wraps but i can never seem to find the chick on track, is there a certain way i make her spawn?

She is not tough to have spawn, but my problem is I have killed her 6 times and never had the wraps drop, does any one know if they still drop.


By the way, i killed with one guildie with me a druid, and he kitted her. Real easy as long as the druid does not get hit she will sumon once ur below 95%

Ok, to get Duara to spawn simply wax the potameids til you find her on track. If you dont have track good luck running into her, theres alot of water. Upon gaining a visual you will know whether or not she will drop the wraps: she will have a green, glowing aura around one of her fists. She is easily slowable, low resists all around, hits hard but doesnt have a great deal of hps. Ive had her spawn 3 times for me in 5 hrs of potameid slaughter. Dropped the wraps on the 3rd.

took her dow with my pally solo style, and was reall easy with all my stuns(AA,65 and 66 stuns keep her at bay) they droped the Wraps

how rare are these things? i solo mermaids a lot and have killed her easily at least 20 times, and only gotten the bracer and girdle and a few tomes. any info on the drop rate would be greatly appreciated, would love to get a pair of these for my monk.

Just bought one of these for my Beastlord. Noticed the "DMG Bonus: 10" no longer appears on the item's window. Is the photo above from the test server or was it nerfed after going live?

Still it's a great stepping-stone weapon for levels 45-65.

Like any named, she can spawn inplace of ant potamied killed. She's an easy pull with SoW and Levi. Killed her 10 times so far and only one drop of these.

Just out of curiosity, the raw spell data sheet says the proc has a range of 250. Does this mean you can target a mob that is far away and hit auto attack and if the weapon procs it will hit it with pebbles? Just a thought, think it would be pretty funny.


Just got them today in the bazaar for 7K! I argued out the fact that a waning light katar has a better damage/delay ratio and has a better proc, so why would I pay more, the person agreed and lowered price from 25k to 7k =D

Theres no reason why these would cost that much more then a Waning Light Katar... price must be wrong. I guess its a new item though, takes awhile for the price to go to where it should be.

they are worth more then the WLK because:

  • They weight 1 less (HUGE deal with a monk)
  • Lower level requirement
  • They are a particle effect weapon (green glowing orb with sparklings coming off it)

    I have a monk too and the fact that these weigh only .5 is a HUGE deal to me. It is so difficult to find good gear that is light. This fits in both categories, especially that you can use this at level 45 and have full stats.

    If you don't understand why monks are so concerned with weight and you actually play one, then you need to log off and go and read the monk boards and learn something about your class.

    this weapon is also usable at a lower lvl then the Waning Light Katar.. Might effect the price a bit.

    On Saryrn they've been 50-60k.
    She's not a common mob, this is a pretty rare drop for her. The area she spawns in is 1)a pain in the butt 2)dangerous 3)not hunted often

    After a week solid under water I've gotten 1 of them to drop. 50k isn't too much to ask for the work it took if I wanted to sell.

    Side note: The proc says "unresistable". A single post reports resisting it with very good saves, I assume they mean the mobs with this ability.

    1 those saves are hardly good ...

    2 for whatever reason allakhazam rates 0 as unresistable when that is actually the standard resist rate for most spells ... lures have a neg resist check ... true unresistable have a -1000 or so check

    Well... gives you 40 additinoal endurance to your endurance pool, just like +40 mana gives you 40 additional mana to your mana pool. Endurance is used for a few things, such as melee special attacks and jumping and such.

    I bought one of these today on Erollisi-Marr server, it's a great weapon the ratio is awesome, on a 52 monk with only 130skill in hand to hand I was punching for 60-low 90's, and quick. I sold them though for a little prophet, hoping I can find a second pair.
