Because......
I have Ancient Ice, and with this spell and the spear I can win any DPS measure vs wizzies who use SOS. Even with the long recast time, I can chain these two with tears of marr for the highest dps I have seen in the game so far :)

Nice item, especially with the stamina and the 25 elemantal/magic resists and the effect lets you sell the spell if you get it on turnins, which is a nice chunk of cash, so there's your extra benefit.
Note: with this spell and a mage summoned focus, you will hit up around 1800 max with spear of solist, giving it a 6:1 dam to mana ratio, making it more efficint than Strike of Solusek which will only hit for about 3200 with the bracer, for a ratio of under 5:1. yay!

It's a buff effect, not a nuke :)
It increase the dmg of all your lvl 60 cold based nukes by 30% while you have the buff of this Slippers on you.
