the weight may be high for monks. but at 65 the weight cap is higher and not a lot of pre 65s will get this or are very close to 65. and like was said regen is good on raids and ac doesnt really matter on raids when yer not the MT cuz ac doesnt help against spells. plus if a monk is using these it would be during downtime cuz the epic is a lt better statwise and effectwise. and the weird thing is that both other classes can heal and cast regen buffs.../shrug
Most folks don't see the value in regen. After all, what use is 3hp/tick?
Then you start running the numbers... 3/tick on this and a few other items out there... 5/tick on the LDON chest augment... 1/tick non-lore augments for all slots...
Once you get up around 20/tick, you are now doing 1/25 of a good, high-level HoT spell. Why is that interesting? Because you might as well have just given your raid group's healer a +4% HoT augment, if there were such a thing!
That means that you can be kept alive to do/heal/prevent damage (as per your class and role on a raid) in the face of 4% more AE damage than you could before, PLUS the regen is permanent and can give the healer a small amount of breathing room when it comes to recast time. On an MT this would never matter, they take damage at an order of magnitude faster rate, but for everyone else....
So, is this the best item ever? Hardly. But is the regen nice when added to the other sources out there? Oh yeah!
Get resist and HP gear first, but after that, regen is raid gear.
Weight's a bit high for monks, and by the time they're the level required to get them they'll hopefully have their epics in this slot.
Beasties and druids... well, the WIS is there... but not great AC and no resists... but I guess if you value the effect that much, it may be worthwhile... but givin both classes have a heal... *shrugs*
I can't speak for druids, but as for a BST the AC is good and the others stats are very good, too! Coming to the effect... GREAT! BST have not much good items for this slot and this are better then the ornate gloves. But on the other side this items in not that easy to get as, if I have money, the ornate gloves on the bazaar...
That and the fact Pristine Jeweled Gloves take a whizz all over this, the only thing about them that makes them any good is regen 3 which could be handy the most dire of situations. Personally wouldn't trade these for my current even with the money I could make from selling current.
