Yes this is the key to the 8th island. Looted it from a heartsbane drake.
Not quite. This is the loot you get on the 7th island which you need to turn in to Sirran for the key to the 8th island. That key is called "Veeshan's Key" (yes, just like the quest room key, but it IS different).
