Bottle is one charge, cask is 8 charges, because you make it with 8 bottles.

The recipe you can use the bottle in is the cask recipe.

The effect lasts 10 minutes.

You can get your brewing skill up to 248 with Minotaur Hero's Brew, components: cask, malt(3), short beer(2), water flask(2), yeast, all vendor purchased items. Once your skill gets high enough, you succeed almost every time, so you can sell the brew back to the vendors, and the cost per attempt is very small.
It's a Subcombine?

Maybe even cheaper, but it depends on your Int or Wis being near cap to get the rapid skilling. No real secret though. In PoK, there's a Gnome by the name of Caden near Little bank - he sells fishing grubs. Now, why is this important? Because Fetid essence trivs at 122, and is 1 flask of water + 1 fishing grub in brew barrel. From zero skill to 122 for maybe 3pp, maybe a little more or less depending on Int/Wis.

Now you do Minotaur Hero's Brew (triv 248) to 200+
All components can be store bought - this is where the balance of that 250pp is going to be spent. Short Beer you'll need to import (ie buy it elsewhere - not sold on PoK), but the rest is available. You'll need > 2 short beer, 3 malt, 2 water flask, 1 yeast and 1 cask < to get 1 Minotaurs Hero Brew, but most likely your going to fail this ALOT - do not be discouraged - you'll skill on fails too.

I had a 170 skill in 4 hours (255 Int) and had spent about 200pp to that point (guessing). Brewing has to be the easiest to skill up without a doubt.

After getting to 122, do Faydwer Shakers to 188. It's a bit easier than mino brew, and also all store bought. Then do Mino to 248.

All of the components for both the shakers and the mino brew are sold in one room in Abysmal Sea, and there is a brew barrel right beside the merchants.

The recipie is not with Malt, it's Yeast.

Seems to add +8% to run speed, and no drunk effects. Stacks with Jboots and Sow, but doesn't last too long (like 15 mins on me).

Cask? Sand Verbena?

What is the differece between the bottle and the cask? I dont want to get too hammered (yeah right!).
Does this ability to run 8% faster justify wasting a sand Verbena that sells in bazaar for 100pp? I find it hard to believe! talk to me!

btw, brewing is the easiest and least expensive skill to increase of any skill. cost me approximatley 250pp to get to (190). And you can throw killer parties with the extra brew ya make! hehe.
