Not a GM twink ;) I'm the one who got this armour and send this info to Allakhazam. Haven't been playing EQ for 3 years and my corpse with everything on had rotted by now. Last thing I did was offer myself as paladin punchbag to the FP militia :)
I was lvl 37 when I got this and the entire medium paladin set is just to get started again. I'm still in the process of upgrading all pieces. Let's say I'm done for 3/4. With all new expansions it isn't hard to find better armour. You just need to quest/group/adventure/loot for it.
The main reason of this is armour is that you're good enough equiped to be accepted by groups so you can build up your 'life' once more from there.
Btw, I'll send in a screenshot of the set. It looks like armour of Ro if I'm not mistaken except for the gold boots/gauntlets.

Yeah, except for the fact that for a midelvel, this isn't all that good. 10pp would get you a netherbian chitin, which is better.
Now, don't get me wrong, this is VERY nice compared to running around naked, but I suspect this "Midlevel" paladin will probably be upgrading this in a week or so.
