Stacking
# Nov 12 2003 at 5:25 AM Rating: Decent
Can regeneration augments can stack? If I have a 2hp regen on one item and a 4 hp regen on another will I regen 6hp's per tick? Or will it only be 4 since 4 is the highest?

as i understand it, items will stack, and will stack with various spells, but 2 spells of the same line WONT stack. for example, you can have two augs with regen I, a regen 2 aug, an item with built in regen 2, and (for this example) Regrowth, for a total of (1+1+2+2+15) 21 points of regeneration. AA regen will stack with those too, and a spell feom a different line (like the regen a shaman gets for being in bear form) to increase your regen more. as with other spell effects, spells in the same line, say Regrowth and Chloroplast, wont stack, but bard songs should. this is how it seems to be working for me so far, as a lvl 55 shaman, with AA Regen III, a Regen I aug, bear-form, and Regrowth, all at my disposal...i dont do any of the parsing or whatever it is people do to completely validate things like this, but it seems i can usually Cannibalize III all the time, and let my regen take care of my health. of course if i start getting attacked, my regen cant cover that, and if i am not paying attention to my health, i can find myself REAL low on health all the sudden. like in an intense LDoN, you finally get a break, have been castiong regularly, and your Regrowth wore off in a fight...drops regen to about 1/3 what it was, and i need a lot mopre mana as soon as possible...i glance up, and "WOW!! im at 20% health, i coulda canni'd to death!! (boy i woulda felt dumb!) time for a stoicism!" anyway, thats my 2cp. let me know if any of what i have been doing doesnt work teh way i think, please

as a necromancer I live for item regen (have a total of 28 item regen caps at 30 I believe). with SoS (necromancer lvl 64 hp to mana conversion line of spells) I only lose 9hp/tick standing with no buffs. (SoS does 65 dmg/tick but it is considered pvp so...it only does 47dmg a tick to me)

So yes item regen does stack.

Regen items stack with any of the combinations of them, just like FT.

For example:
Regen3 + Regen4 + Regen5 = Total regen of 12
Regen3 + Regen3 = Total regen of 6

It is rumored that there is a Regen cap of around 30 or 35 like the FT cap, but i'm not sure if that is still true or not.
Great augment!

Note that this augment is type 7. That's the default type (now) for non-LDON armor. THAT means that unlike all other HP-regen augments that can be bought with AP, this one can be put on your old armor. As a monk, I think it would go on my old haste item (assuming I have a 41% haste item). I'd then put the regen5 on an LDON BP and then buy new armor for each slot as points became available and put regen 1, 2 or 3 on all of them, perhaps sacrificing regen on one or two of them for ATK.
