If you are a rogue or bard and have the improved disguise (?) AA, you can effectively get two charges on the stone.
Assuming you're out of charges, you go into Neriak (sneaking if necessary), get a charge, go to a safe place, put on the froglok illusion. Sneak back and get the stone recharged again, then leave Neriak.
Now you have the froglok illusion till the next time you die, and you have one charge left for after you die.

If you would take one second to see what this item is really for, you would quickly realize why there is only 1 charge. It is meant for a dark race enchanter doing the evil version of the Illusion: Guktan spell quest to infiltrate the city of gukta as a froglok and poison one of their frogs. Hence its single use, since it is a single deed. Once the deed is done, the enchanter can turn himself into a froglok anytime he wants, which is why there is not but 1 charge.
Yep..this is the same mentality that created so many useless time consuming quests as always. all that for one charge.. ill make you an illusion for a lot less plat than you'd pay in real money for time to do this quest. It should be unlimited.. but not only they couldnt get that part right.. they made sure that only evil races (DE AND Ogre faction) could even do it. Gratzz on tunnelvision, programmers. With all the glitches i wonder what they're really doing on the test server.. rather.. what are they really testing ? Must be our patience, or our resolve to build a thick enough skin that having items we've worked for get Trashed (nerfed) beyond reasonable use.

If you hand in the stone at whatever charge its at you will get 1 charge back not 255. I did the quest when it was unlimited charges. I had one of the 255 charges. So make sure you use all the charges before you hand it in to recharge. And make sure you all /feedback that they are retards for ******** up in the first place by putting it unlimited charges. What a waste of time for people.

Just did this to recieve the stone, it has been changed back to just 1 charge, I presume the ones with 255 charges were from the unlimited versions people went and got.

The stone was changed after the March 16, 2004 patch to 255 charges. My unlimited one now has 255 charges listed. I am wondering what will happen when I turn this in after the 255 charges are gone. Another 255 charges I hope!

I guess if they are changing it on the test server the item is as good as beaten bloody with a nerf bat.
seems silly to make it unlimeted charges and then to turn it back to a single charge. It's rechargable when it is only single charge. If SOE was going to make it have infinate charges, they should at least be decent enough to keep it that way. The S ro part of the quest involves a lot of waiting. I am currently 7th in line for the npc on my server, and she is on a 12 hour spawn timer.
so waiting 3 and a half days, <that is if noone line jumps me, or tries to KS the giant spider.>
is a good amount of time to put in on a quest like this. would be nice if SOE kept the charges unlimeted, but knowing them they will nerf this and i will have to run to an npc to recharge my item that i busted *** for and put in time for, every time i wanna be a frog.
guess if i want a real illusion item i'm gonna have to work on my guk faction and do the wood elf crown quest.....

Uh, what are you talking about? There is no spawn timer, you just talk to Saeko L`Vinec and the spider spawns.
Yep, but when you hand in the item to Saeko, she despawns.
They changed it, it's single charge again on Live too as of yesterday's 5th Anniversary patch.

Now the big bottle neck in the quest (you didn't think SOE would hand these out did ya?) is the SRo camp. I am trying to get an idea what her respawn time is. will post later when I have an acurate idea.

Anyone know if this is rechargable? I am a shaman and just want something that I can rightclick for the effect. If this is rechargable, I will quest it for sure!

The illusion is not bugged, and to buy them... as far as i know all are NO DROP. so GL getting something like that.

Ya all the Illusion: Gukta things are bugged. Dont buy um yet Sony should fix um soon.
