Lost Dungeons of NorrathNo one has mentioned at what avg level the group has to be to get this to drop. Or answered the question about the pet focus item.
I know there is a pet focus aug called summoners boon. I not sure where it drops at. This is the first i heard about the one that up dmg though.

The summoner's boon is not a dropped Aug, it costs around 700 or so (cant recall exactly atm) points at the NRo camp.

Got this tonight in a regular collect mission with group level 57-64.
Can confirm that this was a regular collect, mission, and that i also got one of these books and that the average lvl was not 65 one 58 some 62's and a couple other s but there were also 2 names in this same ldon, and does not have to be a hard mission to get it.

Once you get Horror and BoT, BA IV starts to look a lot better. atm only spell im using that is 60 or lower is FP, other spells are BoT horror and SK, so i could really use a BA IV item

The one you get out of North Ro is called the Diamond Prism of Companionship. It focuses the power of spell level 59 to 65 summoned pets increasing their damage slightly. It costs around 700 points -- I forget the exact number.
I understand there is a more powerful version available for more points.

One thing that a lot of people may not realize is that BA4 isn't all that much more useful to a necro than BA3, especially once you get yourself Funeral Pyre. Sure, it will help with you with your level 62 lifetap dot, but other than that it doesn't get you a whole lot. Your level 65 dot is only a bit better than FP, isn't affected by BA3 items, and has -50 resist (vs -100 on FP).
Personally, I would probably wield this until level 64 and and might even keep in on after dinging 65 (swapping in a mage-summoned item for boss fights where the little extra "oomph" from BoT would be most useful, and/or where I would actually use both).
But take a look at what else this item will do for you:
1. Ups the dmg on Splurt (finally, now that they've fixed it) for low-agro solo pulls with high eventual damage.
2. Ups the damage on Vexing Mordina, a MUST for long fights, and cheaper than the upgrade at 62.
3. Ups the damage on ebolt, which is a nice spell for those times that you're going to follow up with a lifetap nuke, thus shortening the fight to a point that FP would not be efficient.
I'll be grabbing this item when it drops (necros should all be hunting Takish first anyway for the pet focus AP item), and trust me, it won't be sold any time soon ;-)

Dont forget that a BA4 item will effect those spells also, and since are normally harder to get will prob come with just as nice stats or better. SO lets not knock BA4, since it does the lower levels also
