I just gathered up all the materials to make one of these, did all the sub-combines myself. Handed everything to my guild tradeskiller (who has 250 tailoring). She failed to craft it, and I lost everything. I don't blame her at all, it was just bad luck--but geez, what EXPENSIVE bad luck. :(

Damn what about us poor Half-elf Rangers of Tunare?
RE: Half-Elves
# Jun 16 2002 at 12:13 AM Rating: Decent
i represent the honorable half elf rangers of karana who got screwed out of nice items that are either offered to plate-wearing classes of karana or tunarean rangers. it was bad being screwed out of the helm of the tracker but now this? at least ralvardar can use the helm of the tracker. my only complaint is why we rangers of karana get the shaft. feel free to flame me if im wrong.

well according to the den mother at eqtraders, she talked to the head guy at Verant that does this traders stuff (i.e. smithing, fletching tailoring you get the picture) and he apoligizes for not adding in half elves as usuable.
apparently it was an oversite (thank you to the half elve druids who helped on the ******** too).
whenever next patch goes in it is suppose to be fixed (crossing fingers).
anyways, it is a nice upgrade to my seb stuff if i will ever be able to wear it since my velious armor looks to be out of reach at the moment.
still i wish i knew about this cultural stuff upon creation along time ago. i wouldve made a woodie instead. but, better late then never. already have my 2nd ranger which is a woodie starting on this long path of tailoring and stuff.
good hunting to all!
tailoring and smithing??
# May 20 2002 at 10:20 AM Rating: Default
you will need 250+ in both smithing and tailoring. smithing to make the needle and couple other junk to make the pieces for you to tailor

lvl 30 ranger 200 smithing 140 tailoring

You think with all the hatred that the Half-Elves have put up with in the past would have pushed them to ShadowKnights by now...

I mean, they have the same stats as Iksar... why not?

Wow! Finally I can throw out the lame control harness and give up on the silly broodmother for the ac14 legs from that!
Who needs thur?
# May 17 2002 at 7:33 AM Rating: Decent
Well the other karana users and the half elfs, but c'mon this stuff blows thur leggs away (ya wow 1sv all :{

1 SvAll may not be great, but 60 HPs and 10 Sta are. Thurg Legs have more HPs that any of the other quest legs.
No Half Elves

All the hoopla about the new armor recipes. I have been watching all the new armors...ac 51 bp's, and all the other nice pieces now available. Very nice for the plate wearing clases...but I'm a half-elven ranger. Already hindered by chain I was looking forward to seeing what Tunare had in store for her warriors. Very nice I would love to wear these if I could...but apparently Tunare the "Mother of All" doesn't think us Half-Elven Bastards worthy enough to bless us with armor. Apparently our mixed blood doesn't stain the ground enough. You have outdone yourself this time...all the half-elven rangers and druids get screwed. Thanks. I understand that half-elves are not a culture...that we are outcasts, I really didn't want to put in all those hrs to work on "cultural armor" anyhow. This is my first charactor...I made him with that in mind...outcast half-elf...taken in by the rangers of surefall...living the lonely life of a ranger...not excepted but tolerated..trying to prove that I belong. Easy to roleplay..ya'll think rangers suck anyway. Ranger Down and all that. I have been the last standing quite a few times...but that's another rant. As a solitary ranger outcast, my religion was all that was true to me...now that is in question. Either Verant gets there head out of their ..., and changes this or gives us half-elves a really good explaination as to why our god shuns us the way society does. If it stays then I must come to terms with my goddess....and that will be tracking for POG raids and seeing "The Mother of All" fall to one former believer....hell I think I'll convert to Inuruk...at least he is true to his followers..he hates them.

Remember, though ye half elven rangers, that you can use Fine Seafarers Armor, which can be made by a human grandmaster smith. It may even be able to be imbued with a plains pebble for Karana, or whatever gem is needed for Tunare's favor. The AC and stats on those pieces are not bad at all (I believe 45 AC BP and a few other Whatnots)

Feel proud in the fact that at least someone at VI was thinking of you :)

Wearable by human followers of tunare? Surely thats an error and they mean half elves?
Tailoring?
# May 16 2002 at 9:43 PM Rating: Default
I am not sure but I think this is cultural smithing not tailoring could be wrong though.

Yes, it's tailoring. Uses Excellent Sabertooth Hides like previous Wood Elf cultural items...
#REDACTED, Posted: May 17 2002 at 12:26 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Im pretty sure its tailoring (it has leather grafics and the person who submmited it is a grand master tailor)
What skill level?
# May 16 2002 at 4:30 PM Rating: Decent
What level of tailoring do you need to make these? Is there anywhere I can find info on how to make them? thx.
RE: What skill level?
# May 16 2002 at 9:23 PM Rating: Default
Well, you can try eqtraders.com. But as for the skill level, these never trivial. I would suggest not making htem unless you are well over 200, well as in sitting at 235-250 (with enhancement item)

Check out eqtraders.com. They are almost always the first to have the recipes. Rumor has it that you need a tailoring skill of over 250 for it. Ouch.
