Looks like Totemic

Purchased for 300pp in the Bazaar during the weekend. A lighter tint of gold/bronze than the Totemic Shaman armor, but matches quite nicely.

Bought mine on Tunare server for 300 pp I would like to get the whole set, if only I can get deals that sweet :)
Deal

I picked this up and a JB helm for a total of 1750pp on Bristlebane. I am only 31 at the time, but look forwar to picking up as much JB as I can so at 45 I will be a casting ****...hehe!
Self or not?
# Feb 15 2002 at 5:21 PM Rating: Decent
I've been wondering about all the Jaundice armor. Is the buff self only or are you also able to target other players and buff them too?
RE: you can target others
# Apr 10 2002 at 3:45 PM Rating: Good
Yes you can target others.
Clickable effect at 45.
Casting time is double of what the spell is.
Yes they are nice items for buffing. I want the whole set for buffing and attack.

Arms= STR
Feet= AGI
Hands= DEX
Legs= STA +8dex/str/wis and 75mana
Helm= CHA
Chest= Dmg Shield +10wis/agi 20 hp and 80mana
Bracer= 256DD

I still need the arms, bracer, chest, and legs. Im not interested in getting the helm.

This is not worth the 2k price tag that is currently shown, Dont pay more then 750pp for this. Casting group strength is easier and many of the tanks I run across have some kind of similar self buff. Good luck gathering this set of armor it will be tough but worth the effort. Yea there is better out there for you to wear, but I carry these around for mana less buffing.

People are really supprised when you fully buff 12 people and still have mana for others. Experience from being the only shaman on a raid and buffing everyone.

why is it that Cobalt is way more expensive then all the other class specific armors? Sorta odd lookin at the LARGE price difference to the rest.

Actually, its because the AC on Cobalt is higher than a lot of other warrior armours and AC is most important to high level tanks. Also, some of the effects are quite useful to a warrior.

There is also the fact that shammy can cast the buffs on thier Kunark armor.. warriors can't. It is far more valuable to a warrior to be able to self buff and self heal than it is a shaman, since they already HAVE the spells.. now the bracer is another story.. mana free nuke is always good...

My lucky day(s)

I was checking the merchants in Kelethin last week and I found one of these babies at a merchant for only 362p and some gold. WOW! So, I looked at it, and decided not to get it. I logged off and went to sleep. Then, the next day I talked to my friend who has a Shaman, and he said I was stupid not to buy them. Anyway, fast forward to late that night and guess what, they are STILL at the merchant! I quickly bought them and sold them to my friend for 365p.

I wonder a) Why anyone sold this to a merchant and b) why anyone didn't buy them in OVER 24 hours time!?!?!? There's a moral to this: Check those merchants!

I do sell that kind of items occationally to merchants if
a. It is lore and
b. It is common and
c. If the merchant offers a fair price.

But definetely spent some time with merchants, cause I heard many true stories like Megladar the Mighty had.

As a 9th level Shaman I was with a group of other Shamen out on the shelf by Bandl McMarrin, whacking what beasties we could. Along came a 50 something shaman in polar bear form. Marveling at such a large group of young shamen he offered to give us a quiz in exchange for "some useful items." The question he asked me was, "At what level can a Shaman summon a pet, and what should it be? I told him that in our 29th season we could befriend an animal, and that for a Barbarian Shaman that pet "should" naturally be a...Polar Bear! He smiled and GAVE me these vambraces! He also reminded me that the effect does not proc until 45 (a LONG time for me!), but the armor class is excellent from now until then. I never beg...but I guess being polite and as nice as possible does have good side effects.

This is a very nice story, and the elder shaman who gave you this piece of armor sure was generous--however you answered the question incorrectly (although your answer was MUCH more clever than the actual answer I admit). As you might know, Befriend Animal is not a SUMMON spell, it is a charm. His question was "at what level can a shaman SUMMON a pet," and the answer of course is at level 34 when we get Companion Spirit, and yes, it SHOULD be a Polar Bear but for some reason VI gave us a Druid-type pet (Wolf). Cheers.

hmm, how lucky are you? i've been seeing these and the helms go for 100-300 consistantly. Of course i've seen several of these at once, but some of the other pieces (namely the BP) i have never seen available. If you ask me, 700pp is too much.

Only a tard would sell JB gear for 100pp as even vendors will pay like 300-400pp per piece of average JB gear with any decent CHA. Get your self a couple of those +25 CHA steins and put up a CHA buff next time you go see a vendor you will get much better prices. Even this Ogre shammy with only 42 starting CHA can get to 146 CHA which is enough to get the best price on an item usually.
