Im' a 65 Shaman and for me, it all comes down to effects on Ornate. For the pieces that have good effects, BP, Boots, Bracers, Arms, I wouldn't trade them for this stuff. I will try and get some augs that will fit in slot 7 and try to kick those up a little, but the effects are why I will keep them.
On the other slots that this stuff covers, it seems to be about the best you can get without going elemental. I plan on getting gloves, legs and head of this stuff and trying to get some good augs for it.
I guess it comes down to each piece which is better.

I dont know i think basic this stuff isnt as good as ornate but after you throw the expensive augs on this stuff its insane, Add more Hp/Mana, a Regen Rock, and wth AoB? cmon this stuff can get crazy quick if you have the points to blow on it, current goal for this ranger is a full suit of this to mess around with the augs. I just wish it wasnt lore, i'd have an archery suit and a tank suit hahaha
