Is it possible?

Can anyone with smithing skills make this? or do you have to be a Human SK?

You have to be human to make it, don't need to be an Sk. however, you do need a cleric of Innoruuk to imbue the gem.

BTW, there is an unimbued version with nearly the same stats, just no wisdom or Int, if I recall correctly.

So if i read this correctly, i can be a wood elf druid or gnome wizzy and be able to take up smithing to make the unimbued version. correct?

I always thought that you just need to use the forge in the appropriate city to do the combine for the cultural stuff.

ALL Heraldic armors MUST be smithed by humans in the Qeynos forge, reguardless of imbue or unimbued. More information on the process and materials can be found at:

Nope, you still need to be a human to make the unimbued. Youy just don't need a cleric/shammy of innoruuk to imbue the gem. You can however, have a human mage make either the imbued, or unimbued, he just won't be able to wear it.

There is a DEF version. It's called: Dark Prince Regent Breastplateed:
Gnome Cultual Armor

http://eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_tinkering_gnome.htm

That site has information on the Gnomish cultural smithing. Yes the forge has a purpose. I am not sure yet if there are new cultural armors available after the May 8 patch, but I do know that these can be made.

It's really only fair that the humans and half elves get an imbued version for themselves.

If you are really keen to have innoruuk plate, make DEF innoruuk plate. You can even make imbued.

my beef is wtf is up with people and there wimp az god we pharm what about all the agonstic warriors out there where is my armor thats agnostic only ??
RE: diety
# May 14 2002 at 2:53 AM Rating: Decent
There is a non-imbued version, but it's just not been made yet to my knowledge. If it follows the pattern of regular Cultural/Imbued Cultural, it will have the same AC, just be missing some of the stats.

Now, before you complain, "Why should the idiots who follow some whimp az god we farm for lewts get better then me?" The answer is, there is a price we pay for doing so- Faction. Being agnostic, you are not KOS in NEARLY so many places as someone who follows a god. Things like this armor are the balance on that. The reward if you will.

Do agnostics get the shaft on this new cultural armor?

Would be a shame as this would seem to fill a gap for people in small guilds or that dont play a lot. These players wont realistically get their Kunark/Velious/NToV/Named Somewhere BP, and this cultural armor is a nice uograde to the Treeweaves and Barbed Ringmail that many players are wearing well into the 50's.

By the way, this armor is for the Dismal Rage guys, the evil War, Clr and SK's of Freeport, not Qeynos,

It is forged in Qeynos however. The new cultural armors done in Freeport are the Chain recipes. All Advanced Cultural Plate (at least for humans) is done in Qeynos.

My only BEEF with this item is at what point did HEF start worshiping Innoruuk and why is DEF not there.

MY beef is ... what about us gnomes ?

I know we are the red-headed step-children of the warrior family; but we DO have a racial forge which has ZERO uses at the moment and could use a function, I think.

This armor rocks for some of us who are not in big guilds to get high level equipment, or are not blessed with the int/wis/plat to be tinkers (which, I am sure, they will use as the basis for our armor if it is ever implemented)

It would be nice if our Ak'Anon Forge would finally be given a purpose, though; and this is made a smithed armor rather than tinkered; since blacksmithing (like pottery/baking/brewing) is one trade even the less bright and wealthy of our Norrathian brethren can master within acceptable reason.

I think DEF isn't there cause it's crafted by humans and only half-elves and humans can wear that crafted armor
RE: My Beef

Well, That's because this Breastplate is Part of the new Cultural smithing, specifically, Qeynos human smithing. Hence only Human and half elf wearable. And it is made using a imbued saphhire, hence "Hateful," in the title, Not wearable by paladins, and limited to followers of Innoruuk. Makes Sense if you do a little research, and take a few moments to think about it.
