Copper Hammer of Striking, easily. There is no agro-component to any Mirror effect, and despite the slighty better stats on this hammer, a warrior's main job is agro in most groups.

Besides, at 53, you won't be seeing the full stats of this weapon (rec. lvl 65) as soon as you would the CHoS (rec. lvl 56).

And I would much rather spend 8k on a CHoS than 30k on a OSBH...

Death Touches are unresistable. Fairly sure that this proc doesnt work on unresistable casts.

So yes, they are reflectable, although statistically the chances are pretty small, considering that you'd have to have this up when they attempt DT you and even then the chance of it firing is only 15%.

Edit: I have no grammar.

Mirror Proc Details?

I have a few questions about how Mirror works as a proc on this item:

1. How much aggro does this generate when it procs mirror, or does it generate any at all?

2. When a spell is reflected using mirror, does it generate aggro as though you cast the spell yourself or is it aggro free?

3. Does this work on AE spells or just single target ones?

4. If you reflect an AE, is it reflected as a single target spell onto the caster or as an AE that affects all mobs in its range?

5. If it's reflected as an AE, is the target of a targetted AE your target or the caster's target?

6. If it's reflected as an AE, is the center of a point blank AE you or the caster?

My main concern is that I don't want to start proccing something that can draw a bunch of aggro, wake mezzes, and lead to a raid wipe. This seems like a potentially very dangerous item depending on these details of how the proc works.

Thanks in advance for any feedback on this one.

Cheers,
-Az
RE: Mirror Proc Details?

Just recently bought one of these for my monk on Tarew Marr and from what i've seen so far its a very good weapon, but also a very situational weapon, its very low agro compared to the other weapons i have, and you will only want the proc to go off when you are tanking a caster mob, since you didn't mention your class i'm just gonna go with an example, if you're a bard or ranger for example and you have a decent tank doing his job and you aren't tanking the mob, or at least its not casting spells at you, this weapons proc is useless, it draws 0 agro, and has NO effect other than maybe a 3tick junk buff.

From the experiences i've had with it, i haven't had it long enough to try it on a large raid mob like a dragon, but i was recently in an adventure where an AE spell was cast and it did reflect the spell back to the target,I believe that your AE spells that get reflected attack JUST the mob that cast the spell, since it is a reflect, not a copycat ability.
As i said i don't think the AE's will hit anyone but the caster, but as far as point blank or targetted AE, that really shouldn't matter because with as short as the duration is on the proc on this weapon, you will almost always be in point blank range with the mob you are fighting.

And again with agro, if you are getting cast on, you already ahve agro, and doubt you would notice an agro difference with this weapon, in the 3 days i've had mine the only thing i haven't reflected yet were innate procs from mobs such as Chaos Claws from the GoD mobs, but just because i haven't yet doesn't necissarily mean i can't.

Grats on your new toy, but unless you want it for the pure DPS and stats, this weapon is as i said, very situational, if you aren't tanking, put it in a bag and bust out a big *** 2hb or some serious DPS weapons.

What if i add a Mirror I aug to this. Will it stack or seperate proc?

RE: Aug
# Apr 05 2004 at 7:19 PM Rating: Decent
I cant swear it but i'm almost certain it will be separated procs. Just like when you add lets say a 75 Cold dmg proc to a Bloodsworn sword, the two dont proc at the same time.
RE: Aug
# Jul 11 2004 at 11:25 PM Rating: Decent
umm thats wrong, you can put a 75 cold dd on a weapon with 75cold dd and the weapon 75dd goes off and the aug goes off, they dont negate each other, its 2 procs
RE: Aug
# Aug 26 2004 at 4:12 PM Rating: Decent
While the procs will both be in effect, the proc in this case puts up a short term buff. The mirror I and mirror III buffs will not stack, so it probably isnt a good use of your LDON points.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 29 2004 at 7:30 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I bought mine on Tallon Zek for 50k and it normally goes for 90k in bazaar. It does not proc for me now up to my level 48 monk. I know get a message saying "Your will is not sufficient". What crap is that as it has only a 15% chance to proc. I had it on my bard and it was procing in ldon quite well now nothing. I understand some of the nerfs but DAM, this doesnt doo 100/250/500 damage. Come on SOE get real. I bought this as I have a ranger. bard. monk and warrior who could all benefit from it, especiall as i am on a pk server.

To aug or not to aug...
# Mar 16 2004 at 5:35 AM Rating: Excellent
Purchased this on the Bristlebane Server for 30k (which is amazing if you ask me... our economy is fubar) I have this in my primary and Swiftwind in my secondary(you guessed it, I'm a Ranger) I think this is a fantastic weapon with it's speed, damage, stats, and effect. I'm thinking about holding onto this for a while, so I'll want to add an augment to it... most likely a proc augment... any suggestions on which aug?

Thanks!
Lovely on pvp

I have one of these on rallos zek. It is price less on a pk server. 45-50k here though. Lovely against the ice comet. I wish I could of seen the guy behind the toons face when his ice comet went back at him.

Here's some info on the weapon and Proc. The proc lasts for 12 seconds. With a Dex of 140 and again with 196 the weapon proc'd 1-3 times a fight while solo'ing green cons, so it's not proc shy. I don't know at what lvl it starts to proc, BUT it DOES proc for my lvl 43 monk and with the Rec. lvl of 65 it's dmg/delay is 9/19, so not that bad.

Well for sell on the luclin server for 195000 Wigh is just God awful stupid if you ask me. Is a good weapon and a dang nice proc but i mean come on people.. get a life
RE: Way over Priced
# Jan 13 2004 at 5:30 PM Rating: Default
That indeed is an extreme price.

What boggles the mind is that, from what I've seen Golden Wraps of the Compact are going for twice the price of this hammer (on Karana).
Which is beyond me. Sure the Wraps have a better ratio, but look at everything else.

This hammer is the total package (for a droppable item), ratio, sta, resists, hps and mana. The proc is the part I could do without. Nevertheless, I threw a 100 cold DD aug on mine and I like it even more.

Hard setting in EC, the named that dropped the hammer, also dropped our MT (65 warrior, I think Defensive either wasn't up or he didn't think he'd need it)in about 2.5 seconds. A 65 bst tanked him the rest of the way << me >>

It's an excellent weapon for the aforementioned reasons and I'm glad to have taken directly from the mob who dropds it!

We gave this to our guild leader. He was wielding it when we did a mini raid on Gore a few days ago. He didn't say that it cast a mirror buff on him - he said that it reflected it back when it proc'ed - he saw messages that said Gore took 750 damage when she would cast her AE spell.

This dropped off an "Enslaved Mystic". Our group decided to take a high risk mission in the Ruj Adventures to see what loot would drop as we had heard rumors of ppl doing that just to get the loot regardless of succeeding or failing their adventures.

This mob conned DB to the lvl 65s in my group. He had a wolf pet that conned green to me at lvl 63 and I was the lowest in the group. Our group consisted of a 65 Shaman, 65 Druid, 65 Enchanter, 65 Warrior, 65 Cleric, and me 63 Paladin.

The mobs hit for about 900 in the dungeon with it being set to High Risk. We cleared for a bit and tracked the named mob. We mezzed his pet and took him out. The fight lasted about 1 minute. The Enslaved Mystic tried to heal itself and cast a few dd/stun spells. I am not sure how much damage it did as I had the damage filter set to off for others and I did not get hit by it. I assume it hit about the same as the other mobs in the zone.

I am not sure how random this is, as the loot is random in the dungeons, and named mobs are random as well.
(combat)?

Does anyone have any insight onto how the Mirror 3 effect actually works? Given that it is listed as a (combat) effect, which traditionally means it's a proc, if i'm not mistaken, then it certainly doesn't work how I thought it did.
