I'm playing a rogue on prog servers (Fippy) and I am NOT a raider. My guild does some epic raiding and whatnot, but nothing that would let me touch anything anywhere close to this.
My planned set up will be: This dagger in prim (1200ish points) with: +2dmg aug from Takish (1200ish points) +7str +7dex +7agi aug from EF (1200ish points) 150pt cold based DMG proc from EF (around 800 points)
Ragebringer (have it, of course) in secondary with: 125pt poison based DMG proc from Ruj (around 550 points)
I figure that's going to cost me right around 5,000 points, most from EF but I will have to do several in tak and a few in Ruj to round out some of the augs.
My questions would be: does anyone understand how haste and attack bonuses work intimately enough to recommend at what point I should switch out my Rage for one of the various weaps in LDoN with a 15/20 or 15/21 ratio? Obviously taking into account the +40 atk from the rage, it wouldnt be worth it to switch out if all I had was a 30%ish haste item to fall back on. The dps output would decrease in that case, I'm sure. However, I saw a 36% haste cloak that I could slap on, and I know there are 3 atk augs from LDoN, a 20, a 15, and a 10, of which I intend on getting all three. So: post LDoN I could end up with this dagger in prim, auged to 16/19 with 7str 17dex and comparable HP to rage, a 15/20 (club from EF or sword from Deepest Guk) in secondary with similar stats (think i could aug it to 17/20 with the 125pt proc, as well as some pretty decent stats to go with), a 36% haste cloak, and I slap on 45atk (about 4000 points) of augs. That has GOT to be better than lugging around my ragey right?
If anyone has stuck with me through this ramble, I applaud you, and will recap here.
What's better?
This dagger + 150dd + 7str/dex/agi + 2dmg aug and Ragebringer 15/25,(40% haste 40atk with 20str 10dex and 100hp) + 125dd +45 atk in augs
OR
This dagger + 150dd + 7str/dex/agi + 2dmg aug (16/19) 15/20 1hs or 1bh + 125dd + 10str/10whatever + 2dmg (17/20) +45atk in augs +36% haste cloak (dropped from mob in deepest guk hard lvl 65 mission)
Certainly the easier route would be to go with the ragebringer. I guess I'm trading out 4% haste and 40atk for 2 more dmg and 5 less dly in offhand, that would cost me roughly 4.5k LDoN points (around 45 missions iirc).
Any input? I know this is probably a dead post but maybe someone will find it and give me a hand.
I actually got this dirk to see how much I could trick it out. One of the fun things is that with the addition of type 1 augs from DoN, you can make this a better weapon. I put the "Volcanic Moonstone" in it. Which gives it an extra +12 to str dex sta agi wis int cha. I'm still using the 150 pt damage proc aug...but I'm almost tempted to switch that out for the DoN type 1 aug that gives bonuses to resists. I of course have the +2 damage aug in it. Wheeeeee.

Just curious what you guys think. i have a 65 rogue with the Fennin dagger primary, epic secondary. im looking the replace the Rager with a better off hand as i now have a 41% haste item elsewhere. Just wondering if you would offhand the Dirk or the Club, as thet are from the same theme and cost the same points. thanks
The Type 6 Augment is Pristine Emerald of Hatred it is found in Northern Desert of Ro for 1150 points and adds +2 to damage.
Peerless Jewel of Nimbleness AUGMENTATION NO DROP Augmentation Type: All Types Weight: 0.0 Size: TINY Slot Restrictions: EAR HEAD FACE NECK SHOULDER ARMS BACK WRIST HANDS FINGERS CHEST LEGS FEET PRIMARY RANGE SECONDARY WAIST Agi: +10 Classes: All Classes Races: All Races 357 ap in everfrost
as for the proc well being a rogue I definatly don't want a stun proc would bring agro from tank there is a 75 damage proc augment out there that would fit nicely ..
Currently mine has +10 Dex +10 SVC and +1 damage (510 points from NRO), making it 15/19 with 20 dex and 10 svc. The +10 dex and +10 SVC mods I got at mistmoore for around 300 points each.
you have to have enough points to be able o purchase the items from that merchant then you can buy those items whenever you have that many points regardless of where you got them so points only transfer after you have enough to get em (hope that makes sense cos im tired while writing this) =)

Posted:Sep 23 2003 at 3:44 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why did they put the best Rouge Pearcing Weapon at the same Location where the best Rouge Armor can be bought??? I think the developers goofed on this one... This weapon should be at another dungeon. It's bad enough that their gonna need 10444 points to get all the gear that sells here. Now they need another 1150pts to get the best dagger...
after 10 wins in that dungeon , you no longer have to do crawls in that preticular one , you can spend points from other dungeons there. now granted to get enough points up to get a piece of armor you will be able to buy it , as you have to gain enough points for the dagger to be available. thats why they did it , and to be honest i like it the way they did it.
ok was doing adventures in MM, i think ill switch to Everfrost after seeing this, heh im not 65 but by the time i have enough points to get this i will be. dang its almost as good as the ifir, once you add the 2 damage aug and a proc and some more stats, id say this poker is the next one on my list, once i get it will i have to bank my ragebringer?! *gasp* the day has finnaly arrived
What does THAT have to do with Primal? Primal, now known as Ancient Prismatic, procs Avatar, which adds 100 to str/dex/agi and also give 100 attack. It's ALWAYS worth having, ALL melee want/need it
Not sure if they considered a one hand piercer a one handed weapon. I know it seems obvious but you can never tell with SoE. At any rate, here is your added 2 damage on a min 16 delay weapon.
it does matter on some items when u look at the vendors list it will say beside the item if it requires points from a certain theme or not so far i have noticed items are mostly theme specific points and things like spells are not but i havent really gotten more than a hundred or so points so i havent seen hte higher points items but i assume they are the same way
Unfortunatley most of the the +2 and +3 damage augments are limited to 30+ delay weapons only. =( Only the much rarer + damage augs work on faster weapons.
