I am playing Agnarr and got this, I found the npc mentioned above, its the necro guildmaster, did not respond or do anything for my 63 de mage
tried handing it to him, same hand back and npc comment that giving a pod of water does.

This is a piece of quest/task item given by Xon Quexill in Neriak Third Gate. You need this item from Guk LDON's, and 3 other items from The Deep... a memory sphere, a mind melt, and a feran brain. Will post more when im done. Total task time allowed is 6 hours of playing time, so you wouldnt have to do it all in one sitting.

Did an adventure here last night, with a group of 1 lvl 59, 4 60s, and 1 65. 2 of these dropped off named mobs, in a collection type adventure, with no actual "BOSS" mob.
This is a heck of a nice piece of resist gear, considering that it dropped twice in one adventure.
