This uses the Raw Supple Runic Hide as the main component for the Research recipe.

Keau,

there's 4 classes who can buy this spell and at different point costs from different Adventures.

in this case , rangers buy this spell at the cost of 72 points from the Rujarkian Hills adventures in East Commonlands.

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 24 2004 at 3:33 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) HOLY CRAP!!! As a ranger (WOOT WOOT, best class!!) I say why worry about this stupid pain in **** to get spell when you can quest Swarm of Pain in Gunthak at very same lvl (in only a couple hours), combine with Stinging Swarm, and DoT the hell outa whatever you encounter "indoors", and you don't have to worry about RUNNING LIKE A GIRL (and I can say that cause I am one btw) cause you'll be KEEELING everything you encounter!!! ;) :D 8P

I'm getting mixed results off the boards about where what version of the spell is, how much it costs, and whether or not you need to earn all the points in the adventures connected to where it can be bought. I look forward to testing these things, as I'm now hunting this spell with my Ranger.

I've racked up quite a few points in the Butcherblock camp, and have found the SINGLE TARGET SHAMAN VERSION there. I'll update with a price check eventually.

I have many points unspent, simply because what I can buy at the adventure merchants in BB is worthless next to the equipment I've bought or collected elsewhere. Once ANY version of the spell pops up in East Commonlands, I'll update with what class it's for, how much it costs, and how many points I needed in EC to get it to display, and how many I needed there to actually buy it.

More information another time.

Is this an LDoN use only spell or can you cast it indoors anywere
RE: LDoN only?
# Dec 20 2003 at 7:40 PM Rating: Decent
Useable in any environment. Both indoors and outdoors. Be aware though, that it has a set speed of 30%, so while Ultravision is handy, (especially for human rangers,) the Spirit of Wolf spell is a lot faster at higher levels.

Spirit of Shrew: 30% + Ultravision

Spirit of Wolf: 34% (lvl 9) to 55% (lvl 50) (outdoor only)

Does anyone know where the Ranger version of this spell is sold? The druid version sells in South Ro but have not adventured there enough to see if the Ranger version is sold there as well. Want to tailor my adventures to the rewards I can earn and this is on my list of spells to get.

There are multiple versions of the spell for sale -- the Druid version costs 36, whereas the Ranger usable one costs 72 adventure points if I recall correctly.

Shammy group shrew is 36 in BB camp
Beast group shrew is 72 in BB camp
RE: More info

The druid version of Pack Shrew is also 36 points in the BB camp. Personally speaking, the group version is the only one I am interested in anyways. As a druid, I only go into indoor dungeons with a group, rather than alone.

This spell can be cast indoors also. Not very fast though, about the spped of run speed 3, maybe a little slower.
RE: More info
# Sep 16 2003 at 5:15 PM Rating: Default
And if you dont have run 3, its simply outstanding!
RE: More info
# Sep 16 2003 at 10:37 AM Rating: Decent
Its the exact same speed as run3. Good to use on pets while in dungeons.
