Lost Dungeons of NorrathBy the time I was level 50, this item would be nice, but something like an Argent Protector was much more valuable to me. As it was, by the time I hit 54, I was epic.
This item, dropping from a level 58 mob, is nice for those that can't do big raids and are limited to the group raid of 3-6 people. Beyond that, it ain't really so special for the effort.

Proportional to the level required to get the Staff, it just is no longer of any value. That is the tragedy of it all. By the time you reach its recommended level, it is obsolete. Good damage ratio, but absolutely 0 stats. The type1 slot makes it unique, but it also handicaps it. You can't put any proccing augments in the weapon. Now, if it came with a type1 and a type4 or type6 slot, that would probably make it a much better weapon with higher demand.
Understand, the weapon isn't that bad, it is just that by level 50, any class that can use will have a much better selection to choose from.

I have it and with no 2hb skill i was hitting in the 100s unbuffed so with somemore skill and buffed it will hit pretty decent

You can go pick up a Widebladed Greatsword with same damage, 6 less delay, 20ac and stats for around 3k on Fennin Ro. Not really seen any great weapons since PoP though. Seems like PoP was the expansion that gave all these insane weapons and the last two have been steps backwards, all well. Hopefully there are a lot better items yet to be found.

When I was 50, soon before Legends opened, I would have loved to have had this weapon. Now that a couple expansions have came out I'm not sure if better are available to those at the recomended lvl. I agree it could be better but I'm sure some mid lvl players will get some use out of it.
