my chanter has 195 JC skill and of course a geerlok gemsetter and has a success rate of about 8 out of 10 .... seems to be a pretty easy combine *shrug* maybe luck maybe not...

I have made around 10 of these and failed only once. I think your chanter just had bad luck with the one he made u. I have a 242 skill with a JC trophy.

I had an enchanter with a 250 JC skill with a 10% modifier do the combines for this item and it failed. I would think that you might need AA abilities as well. The chanter I had didn't have the AA advancement yet
This is not triv at 250 because my chanty did them and it didnt say you no longer advance from making this skill. But with 250 skill and a jc trophy i made 3 successfully.
