My group opened "a dusty box" (setting off a one-hour curse) in a Mistmoore LDON and it contained a Gargoyle Granite as well as a Saprophytic Moss.

The point?

Treeliver says Why would you want to get the price down..defeats the point.....
I was just wondering when the point of EQ became to rip off the people you play with. I know that there things we all need and have to pay for, but why should anyone have to pay 50-200pp for 1 item that it took all of 1 second for someone to push a button and get? It's not like you weren't in the zone for the exps anyway. Sadly it does seem that EQ is turning into a place where the greedy thrive and those who just want to play for the fun the game used to be are left high and dry for not buying their pps or their char from eBay. I for one am going to forage the crap outta some LDoN's and try to drive the prices down so those poor folks who want to get their smithing skill up will at least get a little help from me. :P

Gargoyle Granite From.....Gargoyles?
# Mar 16 2004 at 2:26 AM Rating: Decent
I just foraged one of these in an MM LDoN and found these selling for 50-175pp in the bazaar. But I seem to remember my paladin looting these off of gargoyles by the dozen in the castle of Mistmoore back when I was camping the place for the Soulfire hilt.

It doesn't list the item as a drop from gargoyles, however it might be profitable to visit old Mistmoore again and shake the place down a few times.

The item you're thinking of from old MM is Mistmoore Granite. Gargoyle Granite is from the LoY expansion.

Well IMHO, anything more then 50pp for these is insane. Ill be sure to put in forage overtime on em and see if we cant get the price down.

I have foraged MANY of these and always sold them to a merchant after MMC adventures for a few PP. I feel like an idiot now, I wish I would have saved them. But from here on I will be keeping them and selling them in Bazaar. =P (Mental Note: Look up foraged Items before selling to merchants)

A better way to think of it is look up any item tagged tradeskills, whether foraged or looted, before selling.

But don't feel to bad, i buy this stuff, and the other LDON temper ingredients, from merchants all the time, so you're not the only one doing it.

This is used to make Granite Temper, which is used to make Gothic Ring and Steel Armour, per eqtraders...

I forage about 5 of em each MM advenute, my forage at 177.

They sell pretty quickly for around 100-150pp each, not too shabby for forage work.

Hope this helps

There is nothing like foraging up and looting a few stacks of these over a couple adventures and then setting up your trader to wake up the next day with 15K in your pocket. I sell em on ECI for 200pp once I have 3 - 5 stacks built up. Beats the heck out of HG's in RM anytime.

I have completed 10 dungeons in MMC and I haven't seen this drop once. Is it a foraged item? Ground Spawn? Any information would be most appreciated.

I have foraged many of these little beauties and sold them for 100-150pp each in the bazaar. Not 100% sure if it is foraged in all dungeons, but it seems plentiful in Mistmoor (3-5 per adventure).
