I have heard alot of ways to do this. This is the 2nd time i have killed her and both times the GBS was on her. Both times it wasent more than a 30 min camp. Both times she spawned right after i killed the rat that stops in the middle. Do it whichever way you want. I am going to sell my 2nd one and try a third time the way i have been doing it. If it happens again, then we know its not just a coincidence.

wow! thats all i can say-
was on my way to the special Undead event in Ek, from Halas, saw this guy on track - so i attack it and nearly die- i go and med and rest, buff myself up fully, and realise that i was trying to fight him with a charm doll instead of my Ssoy. Doh !! once rested- i run back into the hills and track him down- whacked him, bashed him struck careless lightning on him for 99 a time, i am down to 600 hp, so he dies pretty easily, and i got some exp too :) when i looted i go - hmm whats that- glowing black stone- hmmm +9 int that will do my wiz- did a pc and got figures from various people in from 5 k to 7k !! wow! guess my wiz will have to forget it :) -

major tip is to have a magic buff on u- i got feared the first time- that nearly killed me-

just luck that i was in the right place at the right time-

Don't waste your time camping this place, if you see her walking around great, kill her for a cheap part of what other people do to camp it, people have camped her up to 10 days at the most, but your lucky if you just find her walking around and you get the stone, but if your gonna waste your time just sittin there to camp her, dont, takes way too long. But if you're going to camp the skeelies, dats ok

Ok here is what i did.....

First i used the post on the pyzjn page that talks about the 10 PHs and them spawning 11 mins 43 secs after the one before it dies. so i followed that one to the letter...i got her to spawn on my first night of camping her with that strategy. then when i looted her there was only the rusty dagger =*(. I have gone back but havent actually waited a ful day for some unknown reason. however if you are to do this you should try to keep all newbies away from the ruins. This will make it much less likely for them to mess up the spawn times and spawn rates. I beleive that dreads around the ruins has something to do with her spawning. i always try to leave one up becuase when none are up she has never spawned for me using the 11min 43 sec strategy. well i hope this works for all of you who wish to camp pyzjn. get plenty of caffine as well. take care all.

Hi All, I spent over 120hours over 10days on this camp and only saw Pyzjn 6 times and never got the GBS - this was not fair. I then gave up and went home :(

Well here is the deal I obtained this item in 4 hours and sold it for 4K in 8. There was nothing really special about it. I just killed everything in sight of the ruins that wasn't moving... Rats, Bats, Wolves, NPC's you name it I killed it. From 5pm (game time) until the storm in the morning. She spawned the first night with nothing. The second night she did not spawn. The third night she spawned with the stone. Maybe I was just lucky I don't know. I had just heard about it that same day. Maybe I will go try it again and see if I can get her to spawn again. Maybe even another stone but I will not hold my breath. =)

Good Luck to all of you and I hope you get one as fast as I did... I hate and I mean hate camping for hours on end hehe.

After printing out the message about the "5:00PM Trick", I immediatly went to the Ruins in order to try it out. I did what was told, by the book, and I did get a rare pop. However, it was Varsoon instead of Pyzjn. He easily laid waste to my 11 and 13 Ranger friends, and I managed to escape to Surefall. (I'm a 15 Shaman.)

So, the trick does work, I do believe. But why didn't she pop? The only thing of notable difference is that I killed 3 Mangy Rats during the course of the few EQ hours before nightfall. Wonder if that has anything to do with it. Needless to say, I will try it again and see if I can make the little gnome spawn.

Ok, here's my experience with Pyzjn. I had tried in the past to camp her, but saw neither hide nor hair of her. I saw a camping plan, so to speak, and it worked. Granted I am an enchanter with no way to track. The four times I followed this plan, to the letter, she spawned and showed up at the center of the ruins. The first three times she had a rusty dagger as loot. The fourth time she had the dagger, but also the GBS as well. One thing to remember is that these spawns were almost back to back nights, with an NPC killing the placeholder before the desired time. All I ask is that before you respond is to try this plan, and see how easy it can be to get her to spawn. I cannot be sure it will work each and every night. But with my track record at 4 for 4 with one GBS gotten, it appears to work very well.
Here's the 'plan', if you so desire to call it that.

There is a placeholder. During the day, it can be an animal. I have seen it as a rat, a bear, and a wolf. It is the one that moves to the center of the Ruins in QH and does not move. It could also be a skeleton as well, if it is night.
Kill all skeletons around the Ruins. This may or may not be a requirement, but I lay to rest any that come to the ruins. Once you figure out what the placeholder is, keep it alive till the EQ time
is 500 PM. As soon as it hits 500 PM EQ time, kill the placeholder. If you have a stopwatch, note that the placeholder is on about a 11 minute, 45 second respawn time. That does not mean the placeholder will spawn there, but that it has spawned and will walk to the exact same spot in the center of the Ruins. Remember to kill all skeletons while waiting. After 11 minutes, 45 seconds, then start looking around for either the placeholder, Pyzjn, or Varsoon. I have yet to see Varsoon spawn, but I hear that he can also spawn under this plan. After 500 PM EQ time, the placeholder can be any type of skeleton, or a dread corpse. You will know when it arrives, because it will stop in the same spot as the day placeholder did, and will stand, not drop to a stack of bones. If it is a placeholder and not Pyzjn or Varsoon, kill it and reset the clock. After 11 minutes, 45 seconds, start looking again. Repeat until either you get Pyzjn
to spawn or day breaks and you get a day placeholder.

Again, I was successful 4 out of 4 times using this plan. I wish you luck in your search for Pyzjn and the GBS. :>

camped her off and on for about 2 rl weeks for a total of 19 hours, got 7 spawns, and happened to get the stone one night passing through the ruins to surefall going after mammoth..
Lucky indeed... she was right in the middle of the ruins and no one had killed her go figure
