Im sorry but your statement has a few errors.
1. This is NOT a part of the tentacle/tooth/silk/bauble quest.
2. The tentacle/tooth/silk/bauble quest starts from the named kobold in the first left tunnel.
3. The tentacle you need for this quest is "A blistering Tentacle" looks like a whip icon.

whew, that'd be a shame if you had to turn this in for that quest. I was hoping one day to finish that quest and have this to replace my crappy haste belt item.
