Luclin still good I feel, some nice items too in VT, and what tradeskiller would not like the random items for skilling that drop in Akheva?, what gnome would not be pleased to get the tinkerer's robe that we all sneer at when it drops because it;s not the tailors focus- lol.
You, and the rest of us who can't afford to get fired from our jobs because we fall asleep due to lack of sleep from camping in EQ, need to send bug reports, gripe to tech, gripe to gm's, gripe anywhere you can find a sony ear. Or do what Harm guild did, just quit Sony altogether and go to another game.
This really Urks me. I play and look for quests all the time and every decent quest item I find needs a raid force of excellent quality or a not so excellent Zerg force. WTF is Sony doing to us folks who do not have the time to sit and raid 6 horus a night. It would seem that any item thats decent for quests isnt even worth since you have to be an uber raid to git just one piece of it. The lil guy takes it in the *** IRL from polititions and the LIL guy on EQ does the same. SONY NEEDS TO START LISTENING TO PEOPLE!!! I keep wasting ferfectly good gaming time looking for good things to quest for to git shot down constantly due to having to raid everything. Ima Jihad these polesmokers.
Sadly, if they make it easy enough for a small group (or just one person) to do quests for things as rad as this item (for example), you'd have a bunch of level 70's camping the monsters so their level 1 twink can have things like this, so either way you'd end up getting the shaft unless you're "uber."
I'm on Fennin Ro, and I'm trying to complete the Grimling War in order to spawn Tiesh. Problem is, everytime I do the second camp, it's bugged.
I clear out the entire camp, including the minimobs in the campfire. Once completed, the grimling spiritchanters, all four around the fire, never become targetable. Eventually they despawn.
I solo'd the other 8 camps, and this is the last one I need. Please help :/
I have had the same problem with this camp myself, I cleared everything in the camps but couldn't target the spiritchanters around the fire. The second time I tried I noticed the text said to not get caught up by the spirits (the little ones in the fire) but to instead focus on the rest of the camp. I cleared everything in the camp being careful to avoid aggroing any of the spirits and still could not target the spiritchanters. This was about a month ago so I can't be sure if it is still messed up or not.

I noticed this on Firiona Vie a couple of weeks ago (early August). I have not tried since the last server patch that reset the war - hopefully fixed now. It wasn't just you.
I just recently got in ele planes. Since this item is ear and finger it is fantastic. If you can get the peeps together, go for it. In fact i think i'll ask if my guild would start doin this guy, provided it don't hurt any kittens.
Thats funny. Khati Sha the Wicked has only been taken down once since revamp. It took an elemential plane flagged guild 65 people to do it. He is a harder encounter than Emperior, Seru, ect...
You will have to be in an uber guild that raids alot to take him down...sorry to disappoint you.
Hey Sport,
I think the guy was saying that to a non-uber guilded player, the earring seems really nice. I guess anyone non-elemental flagged, lvl 65, hundreds of AA, etc. posting is used to getting flamed by "uber" players.
The way I read it, he was trying to avoid the typical "Yea, its an OK item for you NEWB players but for us guys in the Plane of Time - its a real piece of doodoo" type post. He didnt make a single comment about the ease or difficulty of the obtaining the item - only about the value of the item. Even more specifically, the value of the item as judged from a casual player's point of view.
I don't know if you were flaming him but that seems to be the tone alot here....
I was simply stating that yes it is a nice item for a casual player...too bad your not going to get this item being casual. I was in effect "bursting his bubble" of getting this item unless he is in high end guild that has extra time to do an encounter that quite long has not so good risk vs rewards.
This is a two part post, and I'm posting it as a reply since it imparts no valueble information regarding the item above.
Part I - "Casual" Observation Speaking as a casual player (i.e. only 2 characters over 50 and none over 60) I would love to have this item! A ring/earring with 18 AC and +10 to all saves? SWEET! That's not to mention the rest of the stats.
Part II - Flaming As sarmaldor pointed out, not everyone is a "serious" player. There is a real world out there, so please be considerate of those players that don't spend 20+ hours a week in a fictitious world!
For the love of Pete, before posting anything in response to another post, take the time to fully understand what has already been posted, and THINK about what you're intending to say before replying.
If you take the game that seriously, you should consider professional help... and I'm not just saying it to be snide. It's a game folks! Just a game.
Everytime you say "It's just a game" you're killing whatever point you wanted to make. It's a game you care enough about to put time and effort into to get good at it, and for that matter what the hell gives you the right to devalue something that might be more important to other people than to you. Maybe you need to go back to whatever place you learned your logic morals and ask for the complete course this time...

You can't lay with it, you can't take it home with you, you can't put it in your pocket. Once you turn off the computer, it's over. So, Liveye, perhaps you should go back to the place YOU learned your logic morals (if there is such a thing) and pull your finger out of 'yer **** this time.
i think its great how people post on here and complain about how bad an item is , but the fact is that its only bad to them they MAY be able to go get better with alot of help and have better things that have insta cast sow but i would use this at any lvl unless i could do potime and such so hey just my 2cp

(except the classified outdoor dungeons like HK)

ok, so it is not a insta cast, who cares?!! its got nice stats and mana preservation 4, something that pallys and sk's are greatful to get, then add in the +10 to all resists and the fact that it is useable in 2 slots, and you got an item that is worth the trouble for those of us who cant access vt of potime! so instead of knocking the thing, get on and go get better, if you can.

I was just kidding. Most classes do not get sow. And for those who do wouldn't need to mem it. For the spells which are mem'ed you will save mana with the mana preservation 4. On top of all of that the item has stats that every class could use.

Posted:Aug 21 2003 at 8:45 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) No duh you'd want it, but your 37, the chances of u getting this are 1:99999999999999999 atleast until you level up ALOT!
The stats on this thing are phat (for non-uber guilded people) and Mana Pres IV. is a very nice focus.

Posted:Jul 30 2003 at 12:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ok, but what I meant was, if you dungeon crawl -- sow wears off, jboots wear off, and then you're left with just Run3....

Posted:Jul 30 2003 at 11:53 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Mana pres items are a dime a dozen for a guild that can get this item (assuming the person who said it took a bunch of 65 with ele flag people to get it). It's only "Mana Preservation 4" which is crappy 10%, look at the elemental pieces which are greater preversation than this.
Three things... number one, you don't have to wear JBoots to use the effect. Number two, JBoots is insta click, as in no waiting. Number three, JBoots effect is roughly equivalent to Run3 whearas SoW is noticeably faster than Run3.
Yes the stats on this rock, and stats on JBoots suck. But you are trying to compare apples and oranges.
If you want an unlimited SoW item, easiest to obtain is Blood Orchid from Druushk in VP... Seru drops nice boots, but he's a bit tougher, still much easier than Khati Sha, however.

depends on how you look at it. I wouldnt make raids just to obtain the items, but if you regularly kill these mobs, etc, it's a great reward. Granted, it takes a full raid of 50+ or so level 65s to get through the event in Acrylia. If the final mob only drops the book as loot, that'd be pretty pitiful for what's involved. I know there are random drops from the named in there but eh.
