Don't get this weapon for the proc. The ratio is great of course, making it an amazing weapon, making it 2nd BiS after Shinai, though I wouldn't waste DKP for this if I already had Shinai + Xegony wraps, since you'll only get about 5-8 more dps out of this weapon over Xegony wraps.

The pet procs about once a minute, and does anywhere from 35 to 830 damage (0-2 hits). Seems to usually miss once and hit once for 435 per proc. A few times did almost nothing, and sometimes (rarely) hits twice for around 700-800 total. This is on a 65 monk with 2 HDEX without pet AAs, so would be a bit better on a BST.

Parsed this thing and the pet does an average of 5 dps total out of my 450ish dps (parsed a couple times an hour-ish). One parse it went up to 7 dps...

So it accounts for ~1% (5 dps) of my damage, so pretty much equal to a DD proc from another raid weapon. Nothing special.

proc look: like sol ro's weapon

weapon look: same as in the pic but with bubbles arround it

hits: 35-415 normal, usualy hits twice

proc rate: 30-45 sec and can MISS

this is on a 70 ranger unbuffed so no pet aa's or anything to help procs besides maxed stats at 365, i hope this helps i was confused by the posts below so wanted to tell the hard facts.

(ps: i love this weapon)

Theres alot of mis info on this part about Quarms hammer, i thought i would clear up some confusion and save people the trouble of having to look all the way through all the posts.
The hammer is quite a rare drop but not the rarest (has dropped 1 in 3 times for my guild).
The proc is a water elemental that will hit up to 4 times (though it averages 2 hit) for around 70-250. All pet aa's work with the pet so it has the possibility of criting and flurrying.
As to looks, it looks nothing like Times Anithites (spelling?) it looks like the hammer of hours. Basically its a blue hammer with little blue circle/hexagon things that come off it like notes on the bard epic 1.0.
As to why its good proc for a warrior : the pets dps make it a very high damaging proc (average 400 a proc) and it procs quite often - this will generate alot of aggro for the person holding the weapon as they are doing all this extra damage.

The graphic for the proc is actually the weapon Solusek Ro carries, not a water elemental. I, being a knight, have never used this weapon, but ive heard the pet hits 200-300ish for 2-3 hits. It's quite a terrible proc for a warrior because as soon as the pet dies all aggro generated from the pet is gone, the warrior gets absolutly no aggro at all from it :) .
It's quite a terrible proc for a warrior?

It's quite a terrible proc for a warrior? I'm not so sure.

Normally, When a pet dies, agro is transfered to the pet owner - it doesn't just dissipate.

Max pet hit I've seen on this is around 400, usually around 300 or so. Have seen 1-3 hits with it.
warrior?
# Feb 11 2005 at 3:25 AM Rating: Decent
From what I've been been hearing, this weapon is apparently very desirable for a warrior. now, as a rogue, I cant really make any sense of that claim so can anyone clear up my confusion? why would a warrior want this bad? this is probably the worst proc type for a warrior short of an aggro debuff.

What about for a bard is it any good??

PLz answer asap
RE: warrior?
# Feb 11 2005 at 7:07 PM Rating: Default
Well looks to me like it would be good for umm a Rogue, Monk, Ranger, beastlord, warrior, and i would say a bard....so yeah

im sick of hearing this weap is good for this class and sh*t a weap is good for all the classes listed on it.

PS: not a flame

I would agree this hammer would be good for any classes listed here. Ratio and stats are pretty damn nice.

I would even agree if your guild has a points system and you outbid any others that roll on it you deserve a hearty grats for winning. Even if you beat out me i'd still congradulate you.

That being said I would also agree that most arguements about which class this item is best for or that item is best for is usually just a weighted opinion based on most posters class they play.

However, with the GoD pet AA lines giving flurry/crit abilities to pets this is best in the hands of a beastlord as the proc would gain those abilities too. Without those AA's this weapon would actually be better off in the other classes hands as the beastlord class's mellee is fubar atm until SOE addresses thier class balancing issues.
RE: warrior?
# Apr 23 2005 at 3:52 AM Rating: Decent
It may not be a flame, but it doesn't address his question asked at all. He's not asking why is it MORE desirable for a warrior, but why would a warrior want one. Does the proc generate more aggro than other procs? That's what I'd like to know as well.

How common is this to drop after killing Quarm 2 times as a guild and none dropped yet??

Thx
Pet hits
# Oct 28 2004 at 9:36 AM Rating: Decent
Pet hits for 35 to 400ish. Crits arround 800. Delivers max 3 hits with one proc, so if you lucky the proc can do 1k+ dmg.

What do these pets hit for?
Works with pet aa´s?
# Jul 08 2004 at 10:57 PM Rating: Decent
Anybody know if this thing works with pet AA's similar to the PoF bst pet weapon? I.e it will flurry and crit (spell crit?) like a normal bst pet?

RE: Works with pet aa´s?
# Aug 03 2004 at 10:50 PM Rating: Excellent
Ok found out today that it does, so it will flurry and crit like bst warder if you have the aa's.

I have seen the pet proc - is a phunky 2ended spear/staff that spins around while attacking the mobs. Ranger bud of mine won it, Blades of Law guild on Povar.

Procs up to 811 dd on a mob.
RE: rarr

the spear is soluser ro's weapon =) looks pretty damn cool.
RE: rarr
# May 25 2004 at 9:46 PM Rating: Default
From what I have been told, the pet it procs is a druid, it has been known to root mobs on raids and tries to heal the person who procs it, but with the limited time its up, it never gets the spell off.

For those wondering it looks like the Time Anesthesis (sp?) or Pally pet weapon from Fire.

With it hitting as hard as it does, beastlords would own dps with this. With all the GoD pet AAs done they can hit some pretty impressive crits/flurries with its proc, let alone the dps from swingin it.
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 08 2004 at 7:53 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is obviously the worst weapon in the game. I would use a splintering club rather than this!!!! This wep SUCKS,IT IS THE WORST WEP IN THE GAME

um... couple things...
EPIC IS KUNARK ERA!!!
and
The epic was just designed as a long quest for each class. They were good in their time. I think people look into the name that an epic has behind it. It's just a long quest item. Is anyone calling the combat manual an epic? It's pretty long. How about the clockwork talismans... It doesn't matter. SoE never named it the (EPIC). Stop counting on it to be the best thing!

# Feb 23 2004 at 3:36 AM Rating: Excellent
The pet spawned is a lvl 60 rogue (it does not backstab for some reason, nor does it gain the additional attack that a backstab would be from the front). The pet hits for up to 415 no more than twice during the two seconds it stays up. It is best to think of it as an unresistable proc that does random damage between 0-830. The pet looks like the spear that Solusek Ro wields. The pet generates no agro for the hammer wielder.

# Dec 27 2003 at 7:26 AM Rating: Decent
With Shinai of the Ancients in the right hand and this hammer in the left hand, there is really no other weapon combo in the game that will challenge the DPS output from a monk. The combo Shinai/Puresteel (Xegony) come close but not quite all the way. DPS from the 2hander from Cazic Thule in Plane of Time tier 5 is possibly somewhat higher but Shinai (180 hps) + Timeweaver (220 hps) beats Trancedence (250 hps) any day. Pity the graphics is the sux. Puresteel looks way better imo.

Call proc
# Dec 13 2003 at 2:30 AM Rating: Default
Assuming that this weapon's proc acts like all of the other call procs it will summon shadowed men wielding the epics of the bearer of the weapon with the "Call" proc. The epic wielding part is just for show and they do not gain class specific abilities (not that pallies or sks are listed as users)

Ok to those talking about the damage/delay not being all that great and what not.

Look at the effect. It summons a pet that does incredible damage. This weapon also procs all the time. Every 10-30 seconds. Think about it. You have a lvl 65 Warrior that is the main tank for a powerful guild, that has fought all the way up to Quarm.

His Dex and Haste are going to be maxxed, with no buffs.

You would be a proccing God with this.

The hammer proc rate is fine, 2ppm primary / 1ppm offhand without weapon affinity or combat effects. This the same as most other weapons. With WA5, it jumps to 3ppm primary, 1.5ppm offhand.

The pet doubles 55%, singles 45%, max hit 415, min hit 35 and has a hit percentage of approx 57%. In offhand, it works out the pet average hit on exp mobs is 247, so it's a better proc than most other weapons if you're looking at damage.

It summons an eather Fire, water, earth, or air elemental that has 50 hp the pets hit for bout 70-100 dmg they're just used to annoy like flaming sword of xuzl and those things. It disapears after the mob(s) are dead anything that attacks u it attacks. No u cant control with pe window like /pet attack or anythin like that.
