DOES IT STACK?
# Sep 08 2004 at 10:58 PM Rating: Decent
Does this effect stack with a Blackened Alloy Medallion's Mana Preserv II? Would someone who could equip it save more mana (for summoning at least) than either item alone?

I know the answer is late but if you have several focii, the one that saves the most will win out - it is checked on every cast - so yes on summoing this will save you more mana than mana pres :)

I myself was wondering til I finally got one myself, It appears as cloth armor, or just looks as if you are wearing nothing in the arms place. I was hoping to look purdy

Can anyone post real quick wthat the graphic is for this - is it black?

Looks like cloth, but if you're a pure caster wearing a robe, it doesn't really matter. But if you aren't wearing a robe... you'll have to figure out a new look.
Looks?

So what does this look like on? Is it black, or does it have some other look to it?
I love this item

I have had this for quite some time now on my cleric, and while it does not provide the best AC for sleeves, you really notice extra mana and hp(least you do at my level). I encourage everyone to go out and somehow get this item

No offense, but post 20 i know that 2 int gives me 30 more mana, so an int item would be much better than these.(or wis in a healer's case)
Mana
# Oct 23 2001 at 12:13 AM Rating: Default
At level 20, 2int = 8mana. At level 50, 2int=20mana. This and all other purely +mana items are for two classes of toons: class 1 is low enough level that a reasonable amount of mana is a LOT more than an "equivelant" amount of int/wis would provide, and class 2 is people who can get 200+ int/wis without having int/wis on the location of the +mana piece.

In other words, at level 20, to get this much mana from int/wis you would need a +7 int or wis item. Not that those are totally unattainable, but they are difficult at that level.

Could someone please post either the whole breakdown of how much int/wis = how much mana at each level, a link to this info, or an easy way to figure it out while in game? I for one would appreciate it.

even if you had a modest 150int at level 20+ according to your calculations you'd have at least 2250 mana... that would be like 20 of your highest nukes before you were oom at level 20...

2 int = 30 mana? Umm... no. At level 50, 1 int = 10 mana. This item is mainly for people that have WIS or INT maxed and are after mana.
