You're not very bright are you? Haste equipment items don't stack. And I'm sure we all believe that your 23 monk has his epic, and that becasue of that you could defeat a level 60. And to do that, your monk Harm Touched him. Hmm, verant must be making new rules for idiots. Tool.

Regarding Haste Percentages

There are two accepted ways to calculate haste percentage. If you use one of these two methods to calculate haste on "dragon haste" items, you will generally get 40% or 41%. If you use the other method (on the exact same items), you will get about 35% or 36%. This makes it a royal pain to figure out which of two haste items is better because you often have no idea which method was used to calculate the haste. I can almost guarantee that if you see a haste item that drops off a dragon or some other truly uber creature like Dain Frostweaver or King Tormax or something inside Sleeper's Tomb, that it will have "dragon haste".

According to EQCaster, the effect of 'haste' multiplies your attack speed by 101%+(level*1%), maxing out at 150% at level 49.

just so everyone know that says they gunna buy, people dont sell these, I on tarew marr which is pretty much the farm server, and people still dont sell that much, and 50 k ? not even close is that price right, i have seen 2 sell ever, one for 110k, and the other for 95k, the haste on this is amazing its like 40 % RBG is only 30 % and they are like 40k, so think about it 10% extra hast = alot alot more money,

Types of haste and stacking issues
# Jul 24 2001 at 10:08 AM Rating: Good
Here are the types of haste. Notice that if you have two sources of haste of the same type, they do not stack. Only the higher haste of the two sources is counted. Notice that sometimes two haste effects from the same type of source may APPEAR to stack if they have additional effects beyond haste. For example, if one spell gives 20% haste and +10 strength, and another spell gives 30% haste and +15 AC (just making these numbers up), you might see the icons for both, but what you are actually getting is 30% haste (the highest haste), +15 AC, and +10 strength.

1) Item haste. This is ALWAYS in effect while wearing a certain item. It is a permanent effect. Examples include FBSS and CoF.

2) Spell/song haste. Alls spells cast by players, procs on weapons like the executioner's axe, bard songs, and clickable effects like the monk epic fall into this category.

3) This is just a rumor I have heard. It may or may not be true. I have not checked it out. Supposedly there is a very high level bard haste (from their epic perhaps?) that stacks with spell haste.

4) Some disciplines have a haste-like effect. I THINK these stack with all other forms of haste.

There is a maximum limit on haste by the way. If a melee type has a good haste item and gets a high level haste buff, he is probably maxed out in the haste department.
RE: Types of haste and stacking issues
# Aug 20 2001 at 9:13 PM Rating: Good
There are two bard haste songs which are capable of stacking with other song or spell hastes. No self respecting bard would be caught dead playign either of them.

A common misconception is that all spell and song hastes stack. This used to be the case but was nerfed over a year ago.

Cleric Epic
# Jul 20 2001 at 2:14 AM Rating: Default
So while doing the cleric epic, you have a legit shot at getting 2 chances, possibly 3 if you clear Naggy also to get a CoF or more, wow! 15-20 levels from now when I am doing my epic I hope to have the chance to get one or more of these to drop of Ixiblat Fer, Naggy, and Ragefire to kinda "reward" my tanks for sticking in there for the camps that are going to be very long and tedious. Just my 2cp

#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 28 2001 at 3:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok I just turned 47 and am set for my first naggy raid. If one of these babies dropped, who gets to roll on it?I mean is it just the tanks that get to roll on it or can anyone roll? As you can tell I know very little about raids, if someone could help me out I'd appreciate it.

*USUALLY* it's rolled on by melee's who will use it, also, in general, most dragon raids I've been on allow you to roll on 1 item.. example, say the weight reduction bag and a cof drop, you're only allowed to roll on one of them, even if you roll and lose, you're out for rolling on the next item, not saying I agree or disagree with it, just saying what I see :)
very nice cloak, haste is rated at 36%, here's a useful page for haste info,

Seen up to 3 of em drop offa Naggy's lizard butt, no epic book though, what's a paladin gotta do? How many times ya gotta kill the thing? Bah! I just rambling. CoF is spiffy, but you should realy look for a sash of the dragonborne, now that is Uber!

If ya see me and ya know of a Naggy or Vox raid send me a tell and I will haul myself outta Hate or Fear long anough to come gut the freak.

>CoF is spiffy, but you should realy look for a sash of the dragonborne, now that is Uber!

Why do you say that? The sash of the dragonborn is lower haste (28% I believe) and 2ac. As a ranger I can wear several waist items with better stats than the 2AC offered by the sash of the dragonborn haste aside a thick banded belt would be a far better. Getting a back item to match the stats on the CoF would be diffiucult indead. Even if the haste values were the same the CoF would be better as it takes a diffoicult yo fill back slot over an easy to fill waist item. Even if the stats were identical on the two items in question there are to many good waist items that you must give up in order to wear the sash of the dragonborn. I do not see why you would call the CoF 'spiffy' and the sash of the Dragonborn 'uber', the CoF seems clearly superior to me. What am I missing?

You are missing that the above paladin is a complete and utter moron, and that you are in fact right. CoF is 36% Haste, awesome stats, SoDB is 26% Haste, crappy stats, and pretty much blows in comparison. The above pally obviously has had his head shoved up his butt for most of his natural life.
Haste Stacking
# Jun 14 2001 at 12:22 AM Rating: Good
There are two types of haste...

ITEM HASTE - FBSS, RBB, CoF, Swirlspine Belt, and the built in haste on the EXE Axe, and Mithril 2 Handed Sword, etc... Item haste is the permanent haste that is always in effect whenever the item is equipped. If you are wearing 2 or mor haste items, the one which provides the most haste is the only one that will provide any haste at all.

SPELL/SONG HASTE - Augment, Alacrity, Celerity, Swift Like the Wind, Captain Nalot's Quickening, and Bard Song Haste etc... These are all spell/song hastes, and do not stack with each other... however they DO stack with item haste.

You might say "Oh ho, but Duriko, Captain Nalot's quickening comes from an item. This is true, but it is a right clickable spell, not a permenent effect. And chanter haste overwrites it every time.

Thats about as simply as it can be put I think.

As I understand it, there are three types of haste:

Item haste: permanent effect while wearing an item

Spell haste: enchanter, shaman, right clicked item, shows up in the buff window for a duration

Song haste: bard songs

you can have up to three haste effects at a time as long as they are all different.

Few things, exe axe is a proc, so it counts as spell haste. Also, song and spell haste are seperate kinds of haste.

song and spell will not stack

some song hastes and spell hastes will appear to stack, but the haste %'s will not add up, you will be at whatever the highest haste out of the two spells is(same goes for using epic with a chanter haste spell on you)
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 04 2002 at 11:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So, what your basicly saying, is that, Speed of the Shissar's 66% haste, and a Cloak of Flames 35% item haste can stack, now, if you add that, you have a 102% haste. Lets do that math here, can we say, unbalanceing? a 40 100 weapon is now a 40 , neg 2 weapon?I am thinking no matter the haste percentages stacked or unstacked, the min delay on weapons below level 51 is 12, and 51 to 55 is 11, and 56 up is 10. They took the Moss Covered Twig out of the game for that reason, it was unbalanced. A level 2 character with a 3 10 weapon? Come on now. However, I have seen recently a 4 12 weapon back in the game, and it is no drop. Now, what I am saying may be comeing out the wrong way, but this I am just repeating, as I have heard it elsewhere.
RE: song and spell will not stack
# Jan 23 2002 at 12:02 PM Rating: Decent
your thinking about haste percentages wrong. It dosen't decrease the delay by that percent, it makes you that percent faster. If you had 100% haste from items/spells you'd be 100% faster, or twice as fast. Meaning your 40 dam 100 delay weapon would effectively be a 40 dam 50 delay weapon, or twice as fast. Also there are innate haste caps you can't pass period. Unless you have a bard singing their new luclin like level 60 song that can go past the cap =)

ok guys here it is, plain and simple.

a 40 dam weapon with 50 delay lets say its hasted at 100 percent

it really means that u are swinging 2 times every 50 delay and NOT a 25 delay. so if your delay is only 17 percent then every 50 delay u are swinging 1.17 times every 50 delay. Or think of it like this you can swing the same weapon 117 times in the same time u swing that same weapon 100 times.

Haste is a multiple of how many times u swing and not a decrease in the delay of the weapon.

as an added point u cannot swing more than once per tick so if u have a weapon lower than 20 delay u will lose attacks at max haste (100%)

lol, yer waiting until 25 to go on a naggy raid? you couldn't even get 10 feet inside of sol b without being mauled at lvl 25. I went on a naggy raid this evening(42 monk) and to tell you the truth I honestly didn't belong there. I was more of a spectator than anything, there to absorb fire dmg while I took screenshots. Plus if you're magic resistance isn't 100 or more you're gonna be runnin around feared most of the fight. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. I'm gonna go get myself a few more lvl's and hopefully I'll be able to do something on my next naggy raid other than run around feared and hitting the - key on my numpad. I think I got a few shots in on naggy, I kicked him for 80 which surprised me, but he didn't like it and broke off a few 225 hits on me then finished me of with fire while I ran away feared. Lvl 25, lol

I'm 48 and barely get to go, hehe. I just have lots of friends that don't mind my dead weight. 48 is the minimum on Torvo that they'll let you go kick Naggy ***** No CoF, no Paladin book :( Just a Bladestopper, 2 golden plated however-you-spell-those-things, and treasure hunter satchel.

We had only 5 groups and lost only 2 people. I think Naggy is easier to drop than Vox, not sure though, we had level 60 Cleric, 59 Shaman, 60 Ranger, and Enchanter epic for buffs, so we beat the snot out of him. Only people that died was one melee and a wizzy, he musta not liked getting hit with ice comet. Someone timed the encounter, after we were all buffed up, from the word CHARGE to Naggy OWNED, 28 seconds.

Doing him again in 2 days (i love pathces), come on CoF and a high role.

Haste items are not stackable. You can stack one haste item and one haste spell (have heard bard song stacks with spell, but have not seen it work in person). I do know that exe ax haste will cancel out enchanters haste, since I used to use an exe ax myself. Exe ax doesn't proc until 30, if you can get a mith 2 hander sometime, that has permanent haste and does stack with haste spells (used one myself), I loved that thinghard hittin for the level and fast with added speed spells.
