Some epics are fun to do but this one is not.Mainly because no one raids naggy or vox anymore.Even if you are the correct lvl to raid her the only peeps that want to raid her are pally's.Thats been my experince anyways.BTW i have NEVER seen one of these for sale.Go with the 1.5.far easier to get.

You can still get the books off Kunark dragons, with no level restriction.
I usually sell the book of scale for 20k when I get them.

Ya.tried that too.camped big red in skyfire for like 3 days on and off.Had my ranger to track him.he spawns and i log to my pally to tank him but was dead by the time i logged him on.Asked the druid who killed him if i could loot the book.he says sure,for 90k.The sad fact is most mobs like this are perma camped.
If you do want to complete an epic that involves say plane of fear mobs,be prepared to open with an offer of 100k for your drop.

I have been looking for over 2 months on Drinal for this to be sold in bazaar. Now there is one up for sale and the guy wants 100k for it.
Just an update on price. It is day 4 of trying to sell it for that price. Seems to me that the 1.5 pre quest is a better way to go and not worry about the FP faction loss, the 1 week spawn timer mobs, and all for a weapon we wouldn't want to use.

To answer the below question, this book is not found, but rather combined from the Torn Burnt Book and the Torn Frost Covered Book. These two books drop off the following:
Frost Covered Book drops off Gorenaire in the Dreadlands, Lady Vox in Permafrost and Faydedar in Timorous Deep.
Burnt Book drops off Severilous in Emerald Jungle, Lord Nagafen in Nagafen's Lair, Talendor in Skyfire, and Melafen in Western Wastes.
If you are too low a level to go on a dragon raid? No problem, ask around, chances are someone else has the Book of Scale and it is still not no drop so you might get lucky as the dragons are dropped on a regular basis, or heck, go to the bazaar in case someone is trying to make a quick buck off it.
