I got this off a Pickclaw Arroweater on the second floor of Runnyeye today. I have no idea why it sells for the prices listed here. It's easy to get, has less ac than a banded cloak (which sells for about 7pp). It's more weight efficient than bandedd though, so I guess it would be worth something to people who are always on the verge of being encumbered. But 60? 10 maybe. 20 at the most. And can someone explain to me why this sells for more than a supple black cloak, which has more AC and weighs less than this? I just gave this item to my brother, who's a bard and can actually use it. It wasn't even worth selling to a merchant.

These are too easy to get. Got 2 last night in 20 min off just normal mobs. So they definitely are not uncommon but common drop. I don't see how these could go for much these days. There are no great stats, just 6 ac on them. just normal armor junk.

The only advantage I see to this is weighing only 2.0 to banded cloak's 4.0.
Yes, but supple black cloak, also from runnyeye, has AC 8 and weighs only 1. It's avg. price is listed as 18pp, which seems pretty cheap. The weight on this would probably be useful if monks could wear it, but as a cleric, I'm not paying 50pp to lose 2 weight. IMO price on this should be 10pp.
Some guy tried to sell me this for 200pp in EC. Could't see why, as AC is one more than reinforced leather, and 1 less than banded,(both of which my cleric can make, or you can buy for less than 10pp )and has no stats on it. As far as I know there is no advantage to a Magic back item, to corresepond to the slam, bash, or hand to hand attacks that make magic shoulder, hand and shield items valuable. Maybe I'm missing something important, but seems to be junk as loot, since cloaks aren't visible so the fact it's sleek is meaningless, and has mediocre ac, and no stats.
Ayup, sounds like a rip-off ploy. This looks like vendor fodder to me. The Supple Black Cloak, on the other hand, is a decent item.
