HEy I wanted to twink out my mage so i bought him this robe, and it's effect doesn't work at level 15. I was wondering what level it works at. Also how much are they worth on the Vaz server?

lol .. ya goofy kids.. your lvl 15 and your using a mana item? lol.. how many hit points does your lvl 15 mage wiz necro or whatever have? lol cause i gaurentee its not enough to make this an item worth 60k for you lol.. the item takes 60pts of dmg off of you every click.. its instant cast and instant recast.. so it would take about 5 clicks to kill you lol.. and only give you 100m .. is that really worth it to a lvl 15 person? no course not..thats why you cant use it yet.. i dont know the lvl that it becomes usable.. my guess is 45.. great item for a lvl 50+ wiz to use because he can get aegoed by his lvl 60 buddy cleric =) n healed for 250 while using it.. lol.. great for mana regen n then jus loan to the cleric for same.. me and a friend do this with mana stones and this robe.. anyway.. good luck.. i recomend not using this item til 50s.. no point til then..
good luck

Although, would be sweet for young players to have this robe, a Temperance and a Cleric friend power-leveling them. ;)

you are all wrong, a wizzy with their epic, a free 697hp rune, you can get to FM in just no time.
ive seen it used on large dragon raids, wizzy can MB to start off then use that and mage mod rods, just be FM in little or no time. then nuke when the mob is at 40pct.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 26 2002 at 12:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) great use of the acronym lol. think you could ad it in a little more lol. i mean lol its so funny lol. im just laughing as i type this lol. dont waste you money on this robe lol get a mage to summon a trans rod lol. can i say lol some more and be like you lol. see you later lol

All of the other kunark armors take effect at level 45...my guess is that this robe is the same
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 24 2002 at 12:08 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I dont' know when it procs. Higher than lvl 31. I haven't went down the post yet. I just got a great deal on this on the Vaz. server, got it for 35k. I consider this a great deal cause it's going on my wizzy, and once he gets his epic (which he's very far from atm) this thing will be the greastest investment in my inventory. :)
I want it

manna robe and zland's heart

wield epic while fighting...heart while resting and medding
RE: re: what about this combo
# Jul 11 2002 at 3:28 AM Rating: Good
Epic has mana regen, it would be more worthwhile to just chain your epic runes and canabalize through that... unless you're a tard and fall asleep on the right clicker, you should never lose health. So why the hell would you need a Zlandi heart?
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 11 2003 at 1:05 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) The wizzard epic dosnt give a mana regen .. the buff gives a mana regen, so its not completely stupid to have a zheart for faster HP regen

the wizzy epic most definatly gives mana regen. along with the Familiars they cast...

Here is what i think he does: Click epic. switch in zheart. click robe. gains hp, dont loose any, gain mana.

and how could they wear a fungi tunic and manna robe at the same time? /boggle :)

This robe is infinatly more usefull to a purecaster than a manastone works everywhere and has the exact same effect so anyone who thinks the manastone is superior well.

The recast delay is incorrect. There is no delay in recasting the effect on this robe. It can be right-clicked every 3 seconds.

With the new 3 charge mod rod, which gives:

220 mana per 300 hp per charge or:

44 mana per 60 hp:

this robe is no way worth the 60k people are asking for it now.

If the 12 seconds is correct above, this robe has been nerfed by better items now.
RE: Effects
# Jan 25 2002 at 12:49 AM Rating: Default
Your point is still valid, 60k is a lot to pay for this item and certainly a high level mage does not need it, however you need to take account of the cost of summoning the mod rod in the first place: 400 mana.

That gives 220 * 3 - 400 = 260 mana for 300 * 3 = 900 hp, or:

17.3 mana for 60 hp.
RE: Effects
# Jan 24 2003 at 12:16 PM Rating: Decent
but never forget the mighty nerf... now u can only use a rod once every 5 min... rendering them all but useless
RE: Effects
# Aug 02 2002 at 3:21 PM Rating: Default
additionally, a mage with spec in Conjuration is only spending 360 mana per rod which is a net gain of 300 mana for 900 hp, the exact same ratio as the robe. BUT, the cast of mod2 is 4.5 sec and 2.25 recast so roughly 7 seconds for 300 mana, versus this robe which will give you 40 mana in that same time period. now most mages at this point will have at least 2700 hp with raid buffs, likely more. so thats 3 full rods, or 900 mana gained in 21 seconds, then subtract 360 mana for a complete heal (assuming a cleric with alteration spec) which is a net gain of 540 mana (overall) in just 21 seconds :) Mod 2 > all

Aren't the new mod rods lore?. The old ones were, .. If the new ones are ya can't very well summon too many (One...) before the raid.
RE: Effects
# Apr 18 2002 at 2:50 PM Rating: Default
Not a fair calculation, since you would have summoned the mod rods before the raid, not during. So the mana spent would have been regained already.
RE: Effects
# Jul 18 2003 at 2:05 AM Rating: Decent
blah blah just posting on this old post cause im bored.

Back before the mod rod NERF, mod rods were dropable, meaning the mage could simply stand next to the healers on raids and just summon a mod rod, and drop it to the ground, when the healer used up their mod rod, they would just pick another up, therefore, creating a fast chain of mod rods and an almost never ending mana chain for the healers. that is one of the reasons mod rods became no drop. just FYI =)
Very Useful
# Aug 21 2001 at 10:45 PM Rating: Good
Onlyuseful for a wizzie with epic doing TL's? That is crazy talk.

This robe would be very useful for a necro, and thus for the whole raid. Necro loads up lich and starts getting the hp to mana conversion. Uses holgresh beads to make an eye and bonds it. Then mana coverts until low on mana and sits. the bonds will return health and then he can repeat. Whenever necro is FM he can mana dump the clerics/enc/etc. The combination of this, lich, and lifetap dots makes this a very useful item for a necro to reduce downtime on raids.

This is the robe that I wear, and I love it. Magicians have no way to regen mana other than something like this robe. We also have phantom armor( which has a 10hp regen to it), and it works really well with this robe.

The manastone only works in the old world, not in Kunark, Velious or any other future expansions.

It also doesn't drop anymore. On server splits, you will have a difficult time finding one. They can be quite rare.

Manastone is superior to this robe, but is limited by the locations in which it can be used.

The fact it doesn't drop certainly is a problem. But its useful to two classes anywhere quite a bit:
- Epic Wizard - Bind nearby, port to old world, manastone/epic back up to FM, gate back.
- Cleric with Faithstone - Bind nearby, faithstone to old world, manastone/complete heal back up, gate back.
#Anonymous, Posted: Nov 02 2001 at 3:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Forgot to mention that ONLY on splitservers with the free movelogs (which, all splitservers have). AFTER the freebie movelog, characters paying to move their charaters to some random server get their gear deleted so no super twinks can ***** up the economy of a new server (or 500 super twinks, really, is where the problem would come from).

This is so much more usefull than a manastone unless of course your a priest in the old world but why would you be there anyway if your really in need of mana conversion have the mage summon lots of these and right click them until you die!

Wizard Epic+ Manna Robe= Uber Wizard

On raids in Velious you can basically keep nuking, it's a great thing to have if you are a Wizard...or a Necro with lifetap even; for other classes, though, it is not quite as good.
